Why You Absolutely Must Personally Treat Your Own Water
Why do we need to worry about the water we are consuming each and every day? When referring to a group of people or someone acting different, the phrase “it must be in the water” is often used as a response. While this phrase is always used comically, you need to know that many of your health problems may indeed be result of what is in the water you are consuming every day.
Why You Need to Personally Treat Your Own Water
Many people are unaware of the vast amount of chemicals lurking in nearly all public water supplies. If you are using tap water to cook your food, or drinking it straight from the faucet, then you are exposing yourself to these substances. One of the most commonly noted, controversial substances in the water supply is fluoride.
It was only a few years ago that if you labeled fluoride as a dangerous substance, you would be laughed at and scorned. For years, a select minority of individuals were the only ones raising the awareness of this health concern. Their cries have been and continue to be met with dissonance, despite the fact that the public’s opinion on fluoride has changed much in just a short time. In fact, even the United States government has called for lower levels of water fluoridation following a study published in Environmental Health Perspectives, which found that increased fluoride consumption led to decreased IQ in children.
Check your city’s fluoride levels.
Fluoride is not the only thing in your water. Cocaine, various hormones birth control, pharmaceuticals, and other toxic pollutants are often found in the drinking water across the United States.
Other pollutants typically found in the drinking water:
- Lead, which can enter the water supply through corrosive pipes or improper water treatment
- Pathogens that cause disease and are especially crippling to those with weakened immune systems
- By-products of chlorine treatment such as trihalomethanes and haloacetic acids, which have been linked to cancer and reproductive problems
- Arsenic, which may cause cancer, serious skin problems, birth defects and reproductive problems
- Radon, a carcinogen linked to lung cancer
The Ultra Models are  “all-in-one”, high performance water revitalization systems.  They raise water’s PH and negative ORP (antioxidant potential). In addition, natural minerals and electrolytes are supported while the systems filter out radiation, VOCs, drug residues, and heavy metals such as mercury, barium, lead, copper, aluminum, and others. It does all of this while not requiring electricity to operate.
The units also successfully filter out herbicides and pesticides, which is becoming a growing concern. New research has confirmed that Monsanto’s best-selling herbicide Roundup has been found to be contaminating the groundwater in areas it is being applied in. Specifically, the water is being polluted with a carcinogenic chemical it contains known as glyphosate. What does this mean? It means that toxic glyphosate is now polluting the world’s drinking water through the widespread contamination of aquifers, wells and springs. If you want to filter this toxic herbicide out, these units will do it for you.
Could you please, for once and for all, realise that the world is a lot bigger then just America. You might have tap water that contains fluoride. We don't. It is safe to drink here. Which is an exception, as most of the world doesn't have any clean drinking water. Look at a map once in a while and you see that there is a lot more going on in the world then the bloody U.S.A!
then concern yourself
Fluoride isn't the only pollutant….
If you live in USA why not be more concerned with USA than say Israel unless if you are zionist then never mind USA.
But in Europe they fluoridate the table salt. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.
Were you attempting to write: "Could you please, once and for all, realiZe that the world is a lot bigger THAN just America."???
This is just a slick add for a water filter that is miss leading
It's actually all true, not sure what's misleading…
Great article thank you.
I filter fluoride & all other junk from my water and I feel much better thanks to it.
Stupid is not quite the same as unaware,so he is serious and the problem is serious so we must be serious as it is health concern of high order.
@Jamesplayfair. ell i've been to America mate and am from the UK and as much as many people in Europe are very unintelligent and are 100% dunded down this was nowhere near to the extent with my experience with some American's, who were 'different' docile and soo passive, but in a weird way. As for the article, yes water filtration is an essentail thing we all should be doing no matter where we live. The article is a slick ad for the filter devices but that still does'nt make the point any less releveant.
Not that slick, I don't think they were trying to be, but… I always welcome a good solution that can help with the undeniable issues with our waters.
There's only one problem, Flouride is NOT removed with these filters
Frank,
You speak out of ignorance. I am well learned in the science of chemistry, and can attest that after checking out the media they use, the filters are capable of removing fluoride.
What are you basing your assumption on if anything more than ignorance?
Although I am not familiar with this water filter, I suspect that it is not high quality nor will it last. The best machine on the market is the KANGEN water machine by Enagic. This machine was developed in Japan more thatn 25 years ago and is recognized as a medical device in that country.
Thanks Lynn, but who do you think has $1000 bucks in this economy to dish out on a machine that artificially charges the water with electricity and does not work in emergencies?
I think there are several models that are relaible and good and don't cost as much as $1000. They recomend the ones that do it with Osmosis… or something like that. I don't know much about it.
how does the Big Berkey compare to this filter advertised here ?
