  1. August 1st, 2016 Mystery GMO Wheat Found Growing in Washington State Could Affect Foreign Trade with U.S.

SEATTLE (AP) — Genetically modified wheat not approved for sale or commercial production in the United States has been found growing in a field in Washington state, agriculture officials said Friday, posing a possible risk to trade with countries concerned about engineered food.

    1. Yes, and this is not the first time. There is no GM wheat approved, yet China refused and shut down our wheat imports to that country a few years ago on that very basis. Hmmmm..

Hmmm…. Monsanto using “blame the victim” ideology reminds me of rape cases when the victim is blamed for “tempting” the perpetrator. I think it’s a fitting analogy or allegory or whateveryacallit.

This is why Monsanto should have the law changed because they are not good gate keepers of the GMO products that they are selling,

    1. Monsanto, the world’s evilest corporation, could never be accused of being a “good gate keeper”.

I’m not sure what law it is you think Monsanto should change. Monsanto has successfully lobbied our elected officials over the years to protect Monsanto over and above the public. President Obama placed a Monsanto exec as head of the FDA, and appointed 4 more, with ties to Monsanto, to positions in his administration. I don’t know how it can get much better for Monsanto as far as their revolving door with government. It’s the people who don’t want a poisoned food supply who are in their way.

I would tell you Monsanto does not have the power to change law, but in the US today, that would be a lie.

Monsanto does have the power to change laws I was in court against Monsanto 5 years ago and they brought a very expensive lawyer to fight a damage claim against them by me because my soybean crop contained the GMO gene in a small of beans in a small number of plants one or two beans at the top of the plant trough a swath through the farm. What was trying to say was the laws should be change to protect the gardener or farmer who does not grow GMO crops.

        1. You’re right….it’s our country, or used to be, not Monsanto’s. What they have done to farmers (not to mention humanity as a whole) is vile, to say the least. We absolutely have to get this kind of power and corruption out of our government.
