Its also a natural diuretic. I tried it when my doctor said was getting too much diuretics and its wasn't helping the fluid retention problems, etc. If you partially freeze lemon, then run under warm water while squeezing it you'll find it easy to peel by hand. I then cut in fourths and squeeze and drop into a large water glass of purified water and this I drink out of throughout the day- Adding water as needed. I also eat the fourths, too. I use no sugar although some might like some Stevia. I like the tartness. I also use extra strength robotics with turmeric. and this together seem to be helping. I go for lab tests next month and hopefully there will be improvement. I've read that lemon is also an anti-bacterial and this is helpful also. i had used lemon juice in the past, without the same results. There seems to be an oily component with the real lemon that's missing in the lemon juice that's bought. Linda Joy Adams ( not a doctor, just a patient)

Boil the water first to kill any bacteria. Then let it cool, so as not to cook the vitamins and amino acids out of your poor little lemon that you spent money on. When the water is warm to cool, put the lemon in it and drink. No sugar. Yes, the one above will ensure that whatever bad stuff is left in the water will not touch you because you are doing the best you can. In fact, if you continue to do the best of your ability, sometimes a new door opens up, and you may find better water. I use distiller water in gallons from the
Grocery store. Read anything from Dr. N. W. Walker, he suggests distiller water. It is uniformly pure, unlike bottled water which maybe a ripoff.

  6. I wonder how these findings translate to Limes and lime water. I don’t want to end up a ‘limey’ sailor, but I do prefer Limes to lemons.

  7. Great! I've been thinking of drinking Lemon water first thing in the morning for some time now. My only question: can it be prepared in advance and stored? Of course I plan to store it in a glass container, but I am still concerned: If I store it, will it lose some of its awesome properties?

  8. Unused used to give entire family this lemon water each morning, plus halibut liver oil capsule. My children didn’t get the easonal colds and flu. They were sent home from school because there weren’t enough students to hold classes.
