Along with these lesser known cures, though, comes the ability to prevent cancer from developing in the first place, which most people would not argue with. In fact, cancer rates in the U.S. and other nations could be cut in half or more with the knowledge we have today.

Cancer Rates Can be Cut in Half with Lifestyle Changes, Natural Solutions

While scientists and mainstream medical professionals call upon the abilities of mainstream medical science to lessen these cancer rates, research shows that the war against cancer using such techniques is painfully failing. Despite 10′s of millions of dollars being spent on the war on cancer each year, overall rates continue to climb, while mainstream medicine provides little benefit. What drug proponents do receive, however, is profits.

Pushed by many drug companies as the only ‘scientific’ method of combating cancer alongside chemotherapy, cancer drugs have been found to actually make cancer worse by causing tumors to ‘metasize’ aggressively and kill patients more quickly. Chemotherapy and radiation treatments are notorious for causing extreme damage to the body, and doctors know it. In fact, 3 out of 4 doctors would completely refuse chemotherapy due to its ineffectiveness, according to polls and questionnaires. Unfortunately for those accepting this treatment, not only will it cost thousands or 10′s of thousands of dollars while failing to solve the problem, but the treatment may even cause DNA mutations extending to offspring.

Meanwhile, cancer cures are being taken advantage of by those who recognize potentialities of natural solutions. Cancer could be eradicated from the body by anything from mega-doses of intravenous vitamin C to the powerful applications of juice fasting (Gerson therapy, etc.). Natural cancer cures with patients who have not undergone chemo or radiation has anover 80 percent cure rate, while mainstream medicine lingers around a 3-5 percent cure rate.

It is important that individuals become aware of the fact that natural solutions do in fact exist, but prevention is always a much simpler solution. So how can cancer rates be drastically slashed? Unfortunately, there are countless carcinogenic substances being used in most consumer products and food. Fructose is consistently being found to play a significant role in the development and spread of cancer, so fructose consumption should be greatly limited. On a consumer products note, most mainstream shampoos, deodorants, soaps, etc, contain carcinogenic ingredients such as tricolsan, triclocarbon, and titanium dioxide, to name a few.

In addition to avoiding these cancer-causing substances, begin to consume the many cancer-fighting foods at your disposal. The spice turmeric has been shown time and time again to block cancer growth, and 12 studies have shown turmeric to reduce tumors by 81 percent. Ginger, a cousin spice of turmeric, has also been revealed as a cancer fighter, shrinking prostate tumor size by 56 percent in mice. Vitamin D, the use of natural sweeteners, and especially exercise have all been shown to help fight off cancer. Solutions to fighting and preventing cancer are available, you simply must recognize them.

In order to harness the power of prevention in these aspects, you will need to avoid those things which are causing cancer as much as you can, and consume important substances that fight against cancer regularly. To stay sane, go about the avoidance at a “good, better, best” approach — being fanatical will cause stress and subsequently compromise your health. Using organic consumer products, consuming organic foods, and filtering your tap water will greatly reduce the ingestion of cancer-causing substances.

For most of us, that also means keeping up with what powerful superfoods each month will bring into season. The month of March brings sun for some, and snow for others. While the temperature may be in high contrast across the globe, March’s superfoods are excellent for both cold and warm weather climates. Offering both warming characteristics for a cold night and a light juicy snack for a hot day, here are 4 March superfoods that will aid you in your quest for optimal health.

1. Honeydew

Honeydews are a top favorite that start coming into season in March, launching off the subtle initiation of the spring season. Honeydews, outside of their delicious and juicy taste, are loaded with vitamin C — a nutrient effective in fighting infection, fighting strep throat naturally, boosting overall immunity, and even combating life-crushing stress.

When selecting a honeydew, look for one that feels heavy for its size. In addition, seek out a honeydew that bounces back when pressed. For preparation, honeydew is great on its own or thrown into a salad in chopped pieces.

2. Artichokes

Are you getting enough potassium? Chances are that even with a healthy diet, potassium intake may be less than optimal. This is especially the case if you’re experiencing muscle spasms or cramps. Artichokes are a great source of potassium, as well as folate. Folate is a miracle substance as it actually helps to facilitate the production of DNA and RNA.

You can use artichokes in soups, stews, or throw them in with virtually any other meal option. Artichoke hearts are particularly easy to throw into a raw salad filled with other delicious and nutrient-packed ingredients.

3. Peas

A great source of not only vitamins A and C, but protein as well, peas are especially appealing to young children. While some children may shun healthy vegetables in favor of harmful processed food products, peas are often delicious to adults and toddlers alike. What’s more, peas are relatively inexpensive and often come in large quantities.

Peas are great side dishes, or can be thrown into a pasta or salad dish.

4. Cherimoya

You probably haven’t heard of cherimoya, though I recommend you try introducing it into your diet this March. A fruit with soft white flesh that comes from the Custard Apple family, cherimoya has a delicious tropical flavor and comes with a valuable nutritional profile. Like many of the March superfoods, cherimoya is full of beneficial vitamin C, though it is also rich in potassium and fiber. The numerous benefits of fiber are continually being highlighted by nutritional experts across the globe, and cherimoya is a tasty way to ensure you are getting enough.

Try cutting up the fruit into cube-like pieces and throwing on a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. Alternatively, you can include some cut up cherimoya into a bountiful fruit salad for a tropical taste.

But as with virtually all other problems, no drugs are required to help treat strep throat. In fact, there are rather simple and natural solutions for staving off and treating a case of strep. Unfortunately, the medical establishment can’t have you recognizing these ridiculously simple solutions for the problem, however, as drug sales and subsequent profit would take a nosedive. To avoid pharmaceutical treatment, you must learn how to treat strep throat naturally yourself.

Resorting to the Doctor, Taking Harmful Pharmaceuticals

With strep throat comes some rather painful and uncomfortable symptoms. Symptoms like a sever sore throat, difficulty swallowing, body aches and a high fever are enough to ignite a doctor visit if you don’t know of any solutions. Unfortunately the medical establishment’s solution to all health-related problems is simply to prescribe a drug that may be loaded with side effects. Why learn how to treat strep throat naturally? Antibiotics, which are always prescribed to treat strep throat, have been shown to promote obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome as well as completely destroy the good bacteria in your gut.

If you want to know how to treat strep throat naturally and avoid questionable prescription drugs, begin implementing and experimenting with the following solutions; you can take care of strep throat naturally and with very little or even no potential side effects.

Solutions for Strep Throat – How to Treat Strep Throat Naturally

Apple Cider Vinegar - Known to help the body recover from countless conditions, apple cider vinegar really is an amazing liquid. Adding on to the many benefits of apple cider vinegar, you can help treat strep simply by gargling with the liquid after it has been diluted in a glass of warm water. The amount of ACV used may vary from person to person, but using 1-3 teaspoons in 8oz of water may be enough. You could always use a different amount, such as 1/4 cup of ACV in 16oz of water. This solution could work in as little as 30 minutes, but don’t be worried if it takes a bit longer. If you enjoy or can handle the taste, try mixing it with some water and sipping it throughout the day. Use raw organic apple cider vinegar with “the mother” for optimal results.

Vitamin C – Although vitamin C is widely known to cure scurvy, the vitamin can be taken to help combat viruses, stress, and promote health overall. Taking 1,000mg of quality vitamin C 3 times daily can produce amazing results, especially when combined with other solutions for treating strep throat.

Cayenne Pepper – Cayenne may be one of the most revered natural remedies for strep and sore throat. Try taking some cayenne and mixing it in a small amount of water, or simply utilize the powder on its own. Then dip a Q-tip or some other usable brush into the solution and dab it on the back of your throat. You could also make a paste out of raw organic honey and cayenne pepper by mixing about 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper with the honey, and then rub the paste on the back of your throat. Alternatively, you could use fresh lemon juice for the mixture instead of warm water or honey.

Now that you know how to treat strep throat naturally, it may be time to chuck the prescription drugs and start bringing natural solutions into your life.

Not only that, but the need to avoid sickness also seems to be more of a necessity than it has been in past years. In fact, vitamin sales more than tripled in Britain in just the past 2 years, but are people really targeting the reduction of illness and disease in the most effective way?

Choosing the Wrong Supplements

It isn’t surprising to see such an increase in supplement sales. Although statistics for many diseases are still steadily rising, it seems awareness surrounding the need for a healthy lifestyle is also gaining considerable momentum. One supermarket chain called Sainsbury’s is experiencing 200 percent increased sales for their vitamin C compared to two years ago while multivitamin sales have also doubled over the same time period. In addition, sales of antibacterial hand gel are up 145 percent compared to 2010, showing that people are becoming more worried about contracting and illness as well as spreading germs.

Unfortunately, many people contributing to these sales may not know that what they are really buying into is toxic health. It is extremely difficult to find a quality health supplements in any drugstore or supermarket, and Sainsbury’s is no exception. Not only are most if not all of the vitamins in synthetic form, but you can also expect to find a long list of unhealthy and toxic ingredients. Here are just some of the ingredients to look out for, which can actually be found in Sainsbury’s Vitamin C Tablets:

Maltodextrin

Stearic Acid

Magnesium Stearate

Modified Maize Starch

These ingredients are controversial to say the least, but some of them such as magnesium stearate have been shown to cause kidney stones and liver abnormalities. There is no reason to put your health at risk with supplements containing toxic ingredients when purchasing truly healthy supplements can be just as simple.

Antibacterial Soap is Toxic, A Marketing Ploy

Antibacterial soap is another item that has gained popularity, but that popularity is solely due to faulty marketing and false advertising. While there are many harmful ingredients residing in antibacterial soaps and gels as well as other personal care products, chemicals triclosan and triclocarban are two very common ones. These two chemicals have been used for decades for their antibacterial and antifungal properties, but you’ll be interested to know that they are no more effective than regular soap and water at preventing sickness. Even the FDA recognizes this fact, but still companies are allowed to market products containing these ingredients as “antibacterial” to increase sales.

In addition to being ineffective, triclosan and triclobarban are also harmful to your health. Like bisphenol A, these chemicals are endocrine disrupting chemicals, which means that your hormone system is being tampered with and negatively impacted. Endocrine disrupting chemicals have been shown to cause health problems like fertility defects, depression, adverse effects on male fertility, and diabetes.

The creams we put on our faces, the air we breath, and the foods we eat are all things to consider when on a quest for beauty and physical attractiveness. Dietary change is an excellent controlling factor that anyone can utilize right away for a younger look.

Papaya

Vitamin C is more than just a powerful vitamin for fighting viruses and even cancer. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that higher dietary intake of vitamin C actually reduced the visibility of a wrinkled appearance.

Papaya is just one of many foods you can eat to boost your vitamin C levels. You can enjoy a variety of foods like oranges, broccoli, papaya, or bell peppers to maximize vitamin C intake from dietary sources. Not only will the vitamin C prove in the foods provide a younger look, but all of the other vitamins and nutrients will only enhance your health even further.

Oysters

Zinc is well known for healing wounds and promoting healthy skin by boosting collagen production. The mineral is actually widely used for fighting acne as well by controlling oil production. What many people may not know, though, is that zinc is another valuable source for a fresh appearance. Oysters, shellfish and beef are all excellent sources of this mineral. But be careful when purchasing seafood, as much of seafood is actually highly toxic due to various contributors to water pollution.

Swiss Chard

Swiss chard is a leafy green vegetable which contains biotin, a b-complex vitamin that has been associated with attractiveness. Not only does the vegetable contain biotin, but it is also rich in vitamins A, K, and C – all fabulous for anti-aging as well.

Soybeans and Walnuts

Omega 3 fatty acids have also been shown to promote healthy looking skin. While fish is the first food which usually comes to mind when hearing omega-3′s, you could get plenty of plant-based omega 3′s found in walnuts, flax seed and soybeans! The omega 3s consumed from your soybeans, walnuts, as well as other sources, have been shown to help fight against inflammation in the body and reduce dryness, causing an improvement for your skin and a younger look.

Much is the case with nutrition; simple vitamin needs are sometimes forgone by time constraints and an improper diet. Various vitamin deficiencies can result in life-threatening disease if essential vitamins are not consumed on a regular basis, whether through supplementation of nutrient-dense superfoods. Sometimes these actions — such as taking an organic green superfood each morning — are subtle, but profoundly affect your health overall.

Enhance Your Health with Vital Nutrients | Avoiding Vitamin Deficiencies

Most B-vitamins, found in various foods such as fish, meat and poultry, are essential if you intend to function normally. These vitamins allow the systems in your body to flourish by converting food into energy, helping healthy cell production, and promoting mental health. People with B-vitamin deficiencies, are often tired, and suffer from lifespan-crushing mental stress. It is also a little known fact that most B-vitamin deficiencies are in elderly individuals and vegans. As you age, your ability to absorb nutritional intake from food is diminished. This is often a contributing factor to what seems like dementia and mental breakdown in older people. As for vegans, their lack of animal foods in their diet prevents them from finding proper B-vitamin intake.

Vitamin C is known for its broad range of benefits, particularly its positive effects on the immune system. You may be familiar with the stories of British sailors who would suffer from scurvy during long voyages, particularly in the 18th century. When the Royal Navy began giving their sailors limes (hence the term, ‘limeys’) for prolonged voyages, deaths from scurvy began disappearing. Vitamin C’s ability to increase overall health is unquestionable. Its antioxidant properties benefit everything from immune health, disease prevention, and increasing vitality in eyes, teeth, blood vessels and more.

Vitamin D has been recognized for its full suite of benefits in more recent times. Every time the sun hits your skin during vitamin D-producing months, your body is synthesizing Vitamin D. This makes it the most inexpensive form of health insurance that you can find. If you live in a location that does not provide enough vitamin D production, supplementing with vitamin D3 is an inexpensive alternative.

All one needs to do is intake optimum levels of vitamin D to receive health benefits like cancer, disease prevention, improved mental health, weight loss, and many other substantial benefits. A deficiency in Vitamin D can lead to an increased risk of cancer, obesity, and even rickets — an easily preventable disease which is now resurfacing in the United States. Most Americans do not receive enough sunlight or supplementation to have high levels of Vitamin D in their blood. It is important that you have your vitamin D blood levels tested to ensure you are not deficient. The correct test you should receive is 25(OH)D, also called 25-hydroxyvitamin D. You will want to ensure that you are in the optimal vitamin D level range. The optimal range is 50-70 ng/ml, though anything over 100 is in excess. In contrast, 50 ng/ml or below is in the deficient range.

Here is an image to summarize the ranges:

These is only a small selection of the many forms of nutrition necessary to achieve the highest optimal levels of health and wellness. Often a work heavy, stressful lifestyle prevents the average person from receiving the benefits of these and more nutrients through their diet alone. De-stressing the brain and investing in a form of supplementation or nutrient-dense superfoods is vital, even if you are eating a high quality diet with whole foods.

Unless you are aware of every sign of a deficiency, it’s difficult to keep up with your body’s particular needs at any given time. Some people live with the symptoms of a deficiency for extended periods of time until it manifests in a more serious form like disease. Be aware of your need for high quality nutrition in pursuit of maintaining your health overall.

By now I’m sure many of you are aware of both the serious dangers behind vaccinations as well as the immune response most people face after having been vaccinated. But what does one do after receiving a vaccine? There are ways to protect yourself after receiving a vaccination. These methods of protection or reversing the damage work for both serious dangers and immune reactions. Whether you’re experiencing soreness, nausea, vomiting, or dizziness, by taking protective measures you can absolutely dampen if not get rid of the negative vaccine side-effects.

The first thing to do after receiving a vaccination is to hold a cold ice pack on the injected area immediately. You should hold the cold pack on the injection site for the rest of the day, and if immune responses don’t subside within the first day, continue with the cold pack into day 2 and start taking cold showers. By implementing this method you will be blocking the immune reaction.

Vitamins play a critical role in treating immune responses triggered by vaccinations. Vitamin E and Vitamin C can be extremely beneficial as they dampen immune reactions and helps to reduce inflammatory cytokines. It is recommended that when taking Vitamin C that it be taken 4 times a day between meals and not in the form of ascorbic acid. Vitamin D3 plays an especially significant role in dampening immune response. Vitamin D3 is excellent in boosting immune response and protecting against microorganisms. Vitamin D has been shown to be 800% more effective in preventing the flu than vaccines at 1,200 IU’s per day. The vitamin is even more powerful when taking the recommended 5,000 IU’s per day. Not only is vitamin D extremely beneficial in all respects of health, but it also helps if someone is over-reacting immunologically by cooling down the reaction.

Another way to help immune response is to take in some helpful minerals and other nutrients. Zinc and magnesium citrate/malate can protect against vaccine toxicity. Flavanoids such as curcumin, quercetin, ferulic acid, and ellagic acid are wonderful against immune response due to their ability to prevent longer-term immune reaction by blocking the harmful effects of adjuvants. Taking these flavanoids mixed together an hour before being vaccinated can help greatly.

Finally, it is critical to perform a heavy metal cleanse after being vaccinated. There are numerous heavy metals such as mercury, lead, and aluminum which cause heavy metal toxicity in the body. If these heavy metals are not flushed out of the body, they will remain there and continue to cause harm. Many heavy metal cleanses you come across will probably be great. But I do recommend this heavy metal cleanse to start with. I also recommend this heavy metal cleanse if you are very serious about cleansing the body. No matter what heavy metal cleanse you choose, I’m sure it will be great and you’ll be heavy metal free in no time. Remember to choose one that you trust. There are no short cuts when it comes down to your health.

Now it looks like the push for less prescriptions has finally paid off. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there is a 10 percent drop in antibiotic prescription rates for kids 14 and younger since the early 90′s.

Antibiotics are prescribed about 50 percent more than they should be. Doctors usually prescribe them for unnecessary issues, such as colds and the flu, which are viral infections. Antibiotics are only meant to handle bacterial infections. There has been a 25 percent drop in antibiotic prescriptions for matters such as sore throats, colds, and some other respiratory infections. But despite the drop, doctors are still over-prescribing.

Doctors aren’t always the bad guys, though. It is often parents who push for their children to receive antibiotics. Even then, parents aren’t solely to blame. We live in a society where drugs are consistently pushed on us. They are simply the “solution” to every health problem, as far as government agencies are concerned. As awareness grows, parents will undoubtedly pull back on their request for medication for their children, and give them some vitamin c instead.

New research has found that adults who took vitamin and mineral supplements for almost a decade performed better on a memory test than those who did not. The link confirms what we know to be true about the mind-boosting power of essential nutrients.

Reuters reports:

“The question is, does the cognitive performance depend on the diet, or does the diet depend on the cognitive performance?” McNeill told Reuters Health. It’s possible that people who have better thinking and memory skills might pay closer attention to what they’re eating, she explained.

To try to get a clearer picture of the association, Kesse-Guyot and her colleagues conducted a study of close to 4,500 French men and women.

In 1994, when the study participants were 45 to 60 years old, researchers split them randomly into two groups. Half of them took a daily supplement that included vitamins C and E, selenium, zinc, and beta-carotene for eight years. The others took a nutrient-free placebo pill each day.

None of the participants knew whether they were taking the vitamin or the sham pills.

When the eight years were up, researchers stopped giving participants their assigned pills, and they could choose on their own whether or not to take vitamin supplements.

Six years after that, the investigators brought them back to the lab for a round of memory tests.

The tests included word and number problems to measure different types of memory and “mental flexibility.”

While the supplement and placebo groups performed similarly on most tests, the nutrient-boosted participants beat their peers on one test of long-term memory in which participants had to recall words in different categories.
