GMOcorn3 263x164 Analysis Finds Monsantos GM Corn Nutritionally Dead, Highly ToxicIs GMO corn nutritionally equivalent to non-GMO corn? Monsanto will tell you the answer is a big ‘yes’, but the real answer is absolutely not. And the simple reality is that they are continuing to get away with their blatant misinformation. In fact, a 2012 nutritional analysis of genetically modified corn found that not only is GM corn lacking in vitamins and nutrients when compared to non-GM corn, but the genetic creation also poses numerous health risks due to extreme toxicity.

With the recent passing of the Monsanto Protection Act, there is no question that mega corporations like Monsanto are able to wield enough power to even surpass that of the United States government. The new legislation provides Monsanto with a legal safeguard against federal courts striking down any pending review of dangerous GM crops. It is ironic to see the passing of such a bill in the face of continuous releases of GMO dangers.

Non-GMO Corn 20x Richer in Nutrition than GMO Corn

The 2012 report, entitled 2012 Nutritional Analysis: Comparison of GMO Corn versus Non-GMO Corn, found numerous concerning and notable differences between GMO and non-GMO corn, none of which are particularly surprising. First, the report found that non-GMO corn has considerably more calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, iron, and zinc.

  • Non-GMO corn has 6130 ppm of calcium while GMO corn has 14 – non-GMO corn has 437 times more calcium.
  • Non-GMO corn has 113 ppm of magnesium while GMO corn has 2 – non-GMO corn has about 56 times more magnesium.
  • Non-GMO corn has 113 ppm of potassium while GMO corn has 7 – non-GMO corn has 16 times more potassium.
  • Non-GMO corn has 14 ppm of manganese while GMO corn has 2 – non-GMO corn has 7 times more manganese.

As far as energy content goes, non-GMO corn was found to ‘emit 3,400 times more energy per gram, per second compared to GMO corn’, as reported by NaturalNews. Overall, the paper found that non-GMO corn is 20 times richer in nutrition, energy and protein compared to GMO corn.

GMO Corn Also Found to be Highly Toxic

Not surprisingly, the report found what many of us already know – that GMO corn is highly toxic. While non-GMO corn was found to be free of chlorides, formaldehyde, glyphosate (active ingredient in Monsanto’s best selling herbicide Roundup), and other toxic substances, GMO corn is riddled with these toxins.

Based on the Environmental Protection Agency’s regulations, the maximum amount of glyphosate allowed in drinking water is 700 parts per billion, which equates to .7 ppm. The amount is a set “level of protection based on the best available science to prevent potential health problems”.  Europe allows even less glyphosate in water, at .2 ppm. The report found that GMO corn contains 13 ppm – that’s 18.5x the “safe amount” set by the EPA.

Similarly, GMO corn contains concerning levels of toxic formaldehyde, at 200 ppm. According to Dr. Don Huber, a respected expert on GMOs, at least one study found that 0.97 ppm of ingested formaldehyde was toxic to animals. The GMO corn was found to contain 200 times more formaldehyde than this ‘maximum’ safety amount.

Biotech Giants Like Monsanto Caught Lying Again

Monsanto has been making the claim for years that genetically modified foods are equivalent or even of higher quality than non-GMOs, but nothing could be further from the truth. Numerous studies have shown us the dangers of GMO foods such as GMO corn, along with the dangers of the massive amount of pesticides that accompany GMO crops. This 2012 report reminds us once again that corporations like Monsanto simply can not be trusted, and that the company will continue making false claims until the end of days in order to profit and slowly genetically engineer the world.

The 2012 report 2012 Nutritional Analysis: Comparison of GMO Corn versus Non-GMO Corn, was reportedly shared with the owners of by De Dell Seed Company, the only non-GMO seed supplies in Canada. De Dell Seed Company received the document from a company called ProfitPro, based in Minnesota.

I’m waiting for the release of Jeff Hays movie BOUGHT . So many people I speak to are aware of the policies that do harm and the profits made by the pharmaceutical, Cancer, biotechnology, flouride, GMO/chemical companies. etc. etc. organizations. Yesterday while shopping at Aldi’s I noticed a good number of packaged stuff from Europe. Non-GMO.

The writer is Kevin Folta, a professor of biotechnology at the University of Florida, a university largely funded by Monsanto.

    • josh

I did not know whwho he was but it does not surprise me that Monsanto funds his university. The article screams vested interest in gmo’s

      • Jacob Ross

Monsanto gives money to many agriculture studies programs around the United States. Many large companies do this with first pickings of the highest earners when they graduate.

        • SibyllasStuff

Wasn’t there a big suit by Monsanto of a Canadian farmer who farmed canola for copyright/patent infringement some years ago.

  • Benjamin Edge

Because there was never any such thing as the Monsanto Protection Act. The Farmer Assurance section of the Farm Bill was a section to prevent frivolous lawsuits from forcing farmers to destroy their crops after they had already been planted. It did not prevent lawsuits against Monsanto or anyone else, and it did not prevent any crop from being disapproved if legitimate health problems were found. It also expired in September of 2013,

  • Benjamin Edge

“hepitits” – is that some new kind of boob job? Who is calling whom brain dead?

  • Golden

Laughable! Too bad this has already been debunked, as non-science!

  • rob johnson

this analysis is a lie. they cite a study called "2012 Nutritional Analysis: Comparison of GMO Corn versus Non-GMO Corn". the study either does not exist or is not published.

the sole point of contact is a website called "Moms Across America" that originally "reported" this study with the summary graphic as pictured above. The site admin had to disable comments due to the hundreds of people who challenged the study, including number of food and crop scientists who showed that it was, at best, a misrepresented and deceptive twist on soil report numbers that have absolutely no intention or ability to comment on the nutritional content of any food

the site admin, after disabling and deleting the fact based commenters, professed ignorance and asked that we can just agree to disagree.

furthermore, whoever published the table has absolutely no concept of what energy is, or what an "erg" is. the footnote is laughable: "ERGS equal energy giving off per gram per second", never mind the atrocious grammar, it illustrates ignorance of basic science fundamentals.

i dislike huge corporate polluters as much as the next person, but the constant lies coming from the anti-GMO brigades exposes an anti-science agenda the only serves to destroy what little credibility they might have had remaining.

  • Robert

Since it is manifestly clear from multiple analyses that this "report" is absolute garbage, when do you plan to retract this story?

  • Ion

This is the scam of the year. Tell me more about a corn containing 6000-ish ppm calcium, 44 ppm phosphorus, 113 ppm potassium, 0.2 ppm sodium…

In other words, even the data for the non-gmo corn doesn't remotly match whit the nutrient profile of actual corn.

But agrobusiness mass poisoners are very pleased with anti-gmo people going full retards.

    • Dawrul

Yes you are absolutely correct ! these anti-GMO retards are creating HOAX in society.

I just want to say that its really important on individual level to check out the original RESEARCH.

    • nhrzn

I'm not going to say that this report is real, but if you said what you did because you automatically accept numbers on Wikipedia pulled from the USDA, you're not better than those you're criticizing.

  • @physicspolice

This "report" is actually an advertisement by Profit Pro to sell fertilizer.

Data is from a SOIL report (says so in footnote 1), and has nothing to do with CROP nutrition!

It has clearly been falsified. For example, numbers that should add up to 100%, do not. There are quantities for which there exists no scientific method to measure, like "Anaerobic Biology" in parts per million.

    • EdCarden

Well said. Now if you don;t mind, can you please explain to the anti-GMO crowd why the MONSANTO PROTECTION ACT that was recently passed and that protects Monsanto (and other biotech companies) from litigation rising from use of genetic crops is not something to be concerned with.

while I'm all for making a stand against the unethical practices of companies like of monsanto i wonder if the info supplied by activists is any more trustworthy? Can you supply more information on the source of this report – it sound terribly sensationalist?

  • chris carlisle

I am so against anything Monsanto does. It is our right to know how our food is made and all ingredients should be listed. I am fighting cancer and treating myself naturally what good am doing when I will be putting it right back in m body!!! It is all about greed, MONEY! No feelings what so ever for the human life! God did not put all the fruits, vegetables, grains, plants, trees, animals and honey here for man to alter or destroy. Please do not sign the Monsanto Bill!!!!!!

  • Flowerdamsel

Nobody wants our GMO's. Countries have banned our crap and yet we still grow it! It is our own preoccupied population that needs to know of this! IT is wrong. Most European nations have banned Bayer and Dow due to the honey bee decline. It would seem like that Monsanto and friends here in the US have the EPA eating out of the FDA. Monsanto and DDT, agent orange have been around their block. EPA allows it so that "You need to ask your doctor". You wil have a drug to keep you alive as long as you take it for the rest of your life. This crap needs to be banned. Look up France and Germany for Gmo's…. not there

  • John

    Natural Society, BUSTED!
GMO's are bad for us, but reporting like this will defeat the whole movement, Sad, and un-necessary.

    • Flowerdamsel

      Looked at this…
Guess Monsanto paid for this site too!

    • Maya

Did anyone notice the title of that blog? 'ILLUMINATI'-ON?

BAN genetically engineed foods for GOOD. Peru and Poland and AT LEAST, 20 other countries have.

  • Ann

PLEASE sign the petition STOP MONSANTO IN MEXICO to stop the planting of GMO corn in Mexico by Monsanto at and spread the word.
This demonic organization has to be STOPPED!

    • Flowerdamsel

      Thank you for the link!

  • Jacqueleen

And, Monsanto is above the law since Obama signed their immunity from the courts into law…..It is called depopulation of the world.

    • TheMAXX

Massive sell-off of their stock would do the trick. Don't buy their products, make sure your investments do not include Monsanto or other corporations that are dangerous.

      • Jacqueleen

I agree to a point. Bill Gates owns most of the stock and he is not going to sell since depopulation is his baby.

  • Chris

Please educate yourself before re-posting rubbish. Thankyou.

    • Maelstrom Devnal

Thank you for the link Chris, I`m really sick of all those conspiracy theorists and their lies. They make fakes of pretty much everything, fake the data, fake the facts and add imaginable paranoia to make things look worse. Same people that claim Aspartame is deadly poison.

      • anon

        Industry troll.

        • motherearth

I don't care what you say. Corn is easy to avoid altogether, since I don't eat junk food or processed food. I prefer to use the European studies that don't have "M" as their sponsors. You will NEVER convince me that this crap is good for you! Ask people who live in the "suicide belt" in India how they feel about GMOs. I'll trust them over any study in America…after all, "M" owns our government, as evident by the Protection Act that Roy Blunt snuck into the latest legislation. If GMO corn is so great, then LABEL it so that we, the consumers, can make up our own minds.

          • saeontao

good girl! you know your stuff… its a facebook born plague that reposts everything and dilutes real journalism. and yes monsanto and your government are one and the same, trouble with this is, africa is downriver from this shit, and im not having any of it either. not too sure how far we might get with labelling GMO rubbish… we may have to start labelling ORGANIC instead… but without industry standards, one would never know for sure… seems we cant escape the necessity of growing our own food… like, now, before all organic seeds are sanctioned and destroyed by corporate tyranny

            • motherearth

I have already seen the NON-GMO labels, and non-BPA on some things. Pomi, tomatoes packaged in Italy, proudly display that they are NOT GMO. Now, if all of the organic(and non-organic, for that matter) food companies do the same, then the standard will be set and the GMO companies will have to play "catch-up" to compete. Much easier to have companies that are proud of the fact about non-GMOs label as such than to try to force huge corporations to do the same. There' more than one way to get the message out!

          • Paris

I agree with you. If gmo's were safe then what the hell is obama's bill protecting them from? You can't convince some people of the truth until they are on their death bed. And even then they will say their illness was caused by something else. The protection act is to protect Monsanto from the millions of lawsuits that would have been coming to him when we all start to drop dead from cancer and hepitits etc. Some people are just brain dead.

          • Zoey

I also agree with your statement. If it’s just as good as the non-GMO than LABEL it and tell us make our own decision about it. I not trust anything reports the government puts out because Corporate America has got them all in their pockets. It’s sad how they are using GMO’s as a form of population control by making people sick and sterilizing the next generation over a period of time. Is this the American Dream that everyone strives for ??? If it is I don’t want any part of it. ):0/

      • Flowerdamsel

Actually Aspartame is… (poison); maybe you need to spend some time looking this crap up instead of all that you are seeing on your TV and are sheeple to be all that you are told.

      • Anonymous

Are you stupid or what?? Why do you think Europe has banned GMO!!!

    • Frits

The fact that there apparently has to be a non-defeatable Monsanto Protection Act says enough to me. Cannot be good, everybody and especially gigantic organizations like Monsanto have to abide to the law, they cannot write their own laws.
Additional there is enough proof that Monsanto is an copyright troll, that little farmers are sued, and that bees are killed because of poison in the crops, while bees are essential to most of the people of this earth.
If you want to poison yourself, you're free to do that, but is it unfair to create "Act's" that would oblige us to use your stuff. Near future will tell who is right.

    • Looked the Fake Site

I read the supposed education. It was a guy sucking down a beer and making fun of 3 line items he did not understand. What? This is a recitation of reference? Who next? The gang leader down the street from you? This is baloney science, baloney skepticism, baloney recitation and baloney skepticism.

    • whatever!

obviously you work for Monsanto. or if not, then you're one of the stupid sheeple of this country who likes our Corporacracy. Either way, that link is really stupid, and there certainly is not one scientific shred of information or proof that dis-proves this article right here. Not to mention that there IS scientific proof, from all the lab animal experiments, that have clearly shown how GMO seeds cause stomach rupturing, bleeding, and cancers in lab animals. and that information IS available and is not some rubbish or conspiracy, like your little stupid blogspot.

      • Bendrix

Animal experiments are a fallacy and used as a get out of jail free card by the pharmaceutical industry which continues to poison the population. "We tested it on two non-human animals and the results were fine so we started human trials." One example (of MANY) is Diethylstilboestrol, commonly known as DES; a synthetic oestrogen (female sex hormone) which passed non-human animal tests with flying colours but was later found to cause cancer in girls whose mothers had been prescribed the drug during pregnancy. We are all lab rats to the drug pushers who look forward to creating a new disease as it pays to sell the "cure". Hans Ruesch books should be read by anyone wanting to learn about the medical fraud industry.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, all mammals on this planet will suffer from eating chemical rich foods that are void of nutrients. I don't think this one needs arguing about. We all must say no and destroy the pro-GMO industry.
