Shocking Undercover Footage Reveals Chicken Producer Tyson’s Animal Torture
Sickening, hidden camera recordings at a factory farm run by leading chicken-producer Tyson Foods reveals shocking animal abuse. This video is shocking, disgusting, and sad, so if prepare yourself for what is about to come.

“Tyson Foods is literally torturing chickens to death,” said MFA’s president, Nathan Runkle. “They are crammed into filthy, windowless sheds, thrown, kicked, and brutalized by careless workers, and bred to grow so fast they suffer from painful leg deformities and heart attacks. This is sickening animal abuse no company with morals should support. Tyson Foods has not only the power, but also the ethical responsibility to end the worst forms of cruelty to animals in its supply chain.”
These animals are bred to grow at an unnaturally rapid pace, reaching adulthood 3x as fast as they did 90 years ago. They grow so fast that they become victims of their own weight, often suffering from injury and sickness while lying in their own waste. But instead of trying to prevent these unfortunate outcomes, workers are seen kicking and clubbing the animals.
“MFA is now calling on Tyson Foods to implement meaningful animal welfare requirements for all of its company-owned and contract farms and slaughterhouses, including ending selective breeding for rapid growth and shifting to slower-growing breeds to prevent health problems related to accelerated growth, providing birds with more space, clean litter, access to natural light, and environmental enrichments, and replacing live-shackle slaughter methods with less cruel systems that eliminate the horrific suffering caused by dumping, shackling, shocking, and slitting the throats of conscious animals.”
At what point will big food companies actually raise animals humanely, without torture and abuse? Unfortunately, it may be years before this kind of abuse comes to an end. With various states introducing ‘Ag-Gag’ bills which literally silence the people who would reveal what really goes on behind factory farm closed doors and protect food companies from being exposed, it seems there is a tough fight ahead.

Having raised these particular types of chickens once in my life. I never did it again. They are most likely Cornish Cross chickens. They are eating machines and outgrow their legs. Eventually they just plop in front of a feeder and will literally eat themselves to death. I lost a few birds out of a couple dozen. I can’t imagine the losses with thousands of them. Horrible experience.
