radiationsuits 235x147 Developing: Nuclear Cover Up? Extreme Radiation Levels Prompt EPA Censorship, DHS Hazmat Team

In a developing story that is raising concerns over a potential nuclear cover-up by the EPA, alarming amounts of radiation were reported near the border of Indiana and Michigan and later censored by the EPA online geiger tool.  The readings, which were captured in a screenshot, measured as high as 7,139 counts per minute (CPM). This is particularly startling, as the normal radiation levels are generally between 5 and 6 CPM. Sources say that a Department of Homeland Security hazmat team has now been dispatched after ‘years’ of inactivity.

A number of community reports have came in on the subject in fact, with readers of community boards and concerned citizens offering up some interesting and intriguing information regarding the potential radiation cover-up. Discussion over the information first began to surface on internet boards like Reddit and user-submitted news source Digital Journal. In the Reddit submission, which ultimately reached thousands of comments — many from those in the area who had contacted radiation monitoring stations and other affiliated individuals — and brought some further information to light.

One Reddit reader, an eyewitness who reportedly attends a nearby University shared some concerning information which quickly rose to the top and was later confirmed by accompanying comments. According to the user, a large fleet of hazmat team members and reponse trucks funded by Homeland Security have been dispatched after years of inactivity. The comment, which has been screen captured for preservation, states:

“I work at a large public university next to a small research reactor that’s located near the back of campus. There’s (normally) a large fleet of hazmat response trucks and trailers parked in the nearby lot. Most of them are NIMS early response vehicles funded by Homeland Security (says so right on them). Haven’t seen them move once since I started working a few years ago. Tonight? All gone.”

The Digital Journal submission, however, was promptly edited and much of the shocking detail in the original post was wiped away. They quickly added an edit stating that the measurements must be false due to the fact that they were so high. Comments quickly cited the changes to be inaccurate and bizarre. One comment, currently at the top of the page, states:

“I don’t buy this false alarm stuff for one min! There are other independent sources doing their own measuring and coming up with similar results.”

As the comment mentions, a number of private organizations have recorded the radiation spike using their own methods to monitor the spike. One such measurement coming from the Radiation Network  in Fort Wayne, recorded a massive increase in radiation as seen in the released image below:

radiationetwork Developing: Nuclear Cover Up? Extreme Radiation Levels Prompt EPA Censorship, DHS Hazmat Team

Amid the publicity, most likely amounting to hundreds of thousands of visitors to Radiation Network’s website regarding this image — which supports the fact that there is a massive and ongoing radiation cover-up — Radiation Network then issued a quick and delayed message on their homepage stating that they must have experienced an error in their system. Additional findings however, which are now censored to the public, confirm the findings once displayed by the Radiation Network. Again, you can view the original numbers in the screen capture showing the results before they were terminated from viewing by the EPA.

Therefore, to add even more credibility to the spike being much more than an unforeseen error, the increase was actually measured from two entirely different and privately owned locations (BlackCat and the Radiation Network). What this means is that the statements regarding the reading being nothing more than small fluke in the system appear to be quite impossible.

I'm a senior environmental scientist with over 30 years experience in health physics and radiation protection. I’m currently teaching this in a foreign nuclear plant. In all due respect, this is the tip of the ice burg.

I have proof the EPA approved of superfund cleanup records of a former atomic weapons plant that documented the largest underground drinking water supply east of the Mississippi will be contaminated with radioactivity for one thousand years and they gave sworn testimony in federal court that didn’t and couldn’t happen.

"A number of community reports have came [sic] in on the subject…"

There's a cover up too over what's going on with our English language. Come on! "Have came in!" What sort of English is this? And this is serious reporting?

A number of community reports have COME in on the subject!

If this radiation leak is real and nobody contacts Canada to tell them you mite be looking at anouther county at war with America and we shurly don't need that. So if any of this is real somebody better contact Canada before this gets out of hand. And it allso makes the earthquake and volcano problem even bigger. We warned everbody that if they didn't start telling people the truth to are alises we sitting on no outlook for the things to come so somebody better get there act together and let use know whats going on. I have a country to save and the that countrys the USA.Rod Bravender The Majestic Lion.SEYA

    • Iglarno

      Hi Rod,

It seems I'm the only one taking this seriously.

I posted on another thread, "I got off my Ass and took my counter on a tour of the area. I’m getting very high readings near the center, they taper off about 20 miles out.

I hope you guys appreciate it, it scares the crap out of me, even 15 miles out the levels are fucking unhealthy!"

      Don't worry

      • Iglarno

Don't worry, i'm on my way to canada now, via Duluth, i'll tell them everything…

        • Iglarno

          Rod, good news!

I made it to Thunder Bay. I feel much safer here.

I've been telling them everything. (I mean, like you said, we don't want a war with Canada, that's a Long border!)

I'm surprised at how seriously they're taking it. All undercover. They arranged transportation to the security center, all hush-hush. I had to play along, you know. The coat was uncomfortable, but they said it would be best that way, I'm telling you, Rod, Top-Security Undercover. They didn't use the siren though, that was a little disappointing, but I guess they didn't want to attract attention.

They're really interested in what I have to say. And whenever I start getting too excited, they give me those "chill pills" Jessie mentioned in that other thread. Once I calm down, they let me talk some more. I mean, they're so careful, they don't want me talking too fast and they take notes of everything I say.

So anyway, I just thought I would drop you a note. They keep telling me here, "everything is going to be all right" and they don't seem angry at all, so we don't need to worry about a war with Canada, right?

They let me sleep right here in the briefing room. There's no bed, but the floor is nice and soft. And everything is so much cleaner than back home…

    • ceej

i live in west michigan near grand haven, and saw a military convoy with uniformed officers and odd cargo heading north on US31 today. in all about a mile long of small units of light tan military trucks. thought it was odd. confirmed by friends north of my area.

    • Isis

Canada's govt doesn't give a hot damn about the radiation. Health Canada's been covering up our own readings since day 1. It's worse up here but you'll never hear about it unless you have a friend with a Geiger. If anyone's going to do anything, it's going to have to be the people. And I'm afraid not enough of us are awake yet for that to happen. In the meantime, keep an eye on those cancer rates and newborn death rates. All the signs are there when you know where to look.

Notre Dame University has 4 nuclear research particle accelerators/reactors.

I live in South Bend and believe it is possible that ND was doing an experiment, or had a reactor accident, which caused the strange RAD spike in this area.

I also believe the Mich. "booms", and our extreme heat on 5/27, have all been a part of the same mystery as the RAD spike.

If it was from ND we'll never get an answer or an explanation.

good lord. the stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me. Notre Dame DOES NOT HAVE A REACTOR. Only Purdue and it is a miniscule reactor. also, don't you people know the difference between a reactor and an accelerator??? geez.

    • CheesyNSleezy

North Dakota? or ND University, or Notre Dame? you all should be more clear on what you are saying. No, im serious, because if it was started from ND it will blow up the world after we all fry and bake to death. The Posse Comatadus might have infiltrated the military along with the Illuminati to overthrow the United Nations because the Illuminati wanted a fictitious One World Order to be derived from a perfect race of blah blah blah. Yep, it was the Posse ComeIlluminati-Militia that set off timed bombs in order to create some mass and temporary confusion. sounds good dont it, but im sure this convorsation will prey on keeping it going.

Its funny. I was looking at hawaiis ground shaking and the dates match. check it out for yourself.

      • Louise

Hey, Anon! I live on the island of Hawaii and we have earthquakes almost daily. The dates of everything match our ground shaking! Our continuously erupting volcano will celebrate (?) its 30th anniversary next year.

Just checked in northern Utah County, Utah and only minimal normal background radiation here. :)

There was an ammonia leak at a Perdue facility a few days ago ..

    Purdue has a research reactor.

Is this what we're talking about here?

    • Anonymous

Nope, Purdue's nuclear reactor is a tiny tiny tiny little thing. Full power is a jaw dropping 10,000 watts. It sits in a pool of water that if the reactor were to run at full power all the time, would never get above luke warm in temperature.

      • Anonymous

Forgot to add that while full power is 10,000 watts, they aren't even allowed to run it at full power.

  • MikeD

What's with all the mini explosions people were hearing if it was just a false alarm, why were military choppers & planes dispersed if it was just a malfunction…standard protocol I guess? If Radiation Network says it was a false alarm then everything must be good because they can't be controlled like the MSM riight? Give me a break and wake up and smell the bath salts, this is the beginning of the one of many nuclear reactors along the new Madrid fault line to oddly 'malfunction' just watch and see.

A shameless plug for a group we know and use but highly relevant to the topic at hand.

    Consider .

Their pub (free) is also worth a look: .

Good people, 11+ years in operation, solid information service. No fluff. When they ping you, its serious. This is why many gov types (including moa) use it. They only report on the real bad stuff.

They broke news on emergencies at Ft. Calhoun, San Onofre and a few others. They scooped the hell out of the MSM on Fukushima and have ruthlessly hammered reporters and network news shows for their weak-ass coverage of the topic, while appearing on those networks.

They warned their subscribers LAST YEAR to stop eating migratory seafood out of the Pacific. Most of you are finding out about contaminated tuna just in the last few weeks.

Regarding this particular story, they have issued no alert. When we inquired via phone, they kindly explained that they were fully aware of the spike, but at that time felt it was an error of some type as there were no downwind/downrange alarms being triggered. With multiple NPPs in this part of the Midwest, the place is covered with sensors.

Individual plants have them. The states have them. The feds operate their own networks.

If you visit their sites, be nice. They save lives.

  • Natalee

You can't see it. You can't taste it. You can't feel it but it will kill you dead! If two different websites with two different measurements come up with nearly the same number, why are you saying that is a lie? HELLO? The only knuckleheads are the ones who want to stick their head up their arse and not face the music. This is why all atomic power plants should be decommissioned now before it's too late.

    • Teodor

It is already too late mate!

      • Tcl

        what happen?

    • George

It appears as though our government is criminally neglegent and or wants us dead. This is unconscionable and MUST be followed up. We must not let the government, who is supposed to protect it's citizens, lie and cover for anyone who is harming the populace. It isn't too late to hold accountable anyone who is covering up this massive and deadly radiological release.

      • George

Well it appears as though it was indeed a false alarm. Go to and read the false alarm info yourself. Please ignore my previous post.

        • Lynda

you know George you are right about the government dont let anyone or anything fool you; My parents were killed by all these greedy jerks and they still are after the article that can stop them which my dad wouldnt give them so they could rule the world. We must be carefull about any information and listen to it. They are covering up everything and trying to make us belive lies. If we are quiet they will win. We must speak out on everything.they must be stopped.

      • beijingyank

I assure you, since nobody stood up when the government claimed "the air was safe to breath and the water is safe to drink," and nobody stood up to two aluminum planes bringing three steel sky scrappers down at free fall speed, certainly nobody is going to come and stand up for you.

No more living in denial George. The government is rogue. Once they considered you a slave, they now consider you a worthless eater. The beautiful people/criminals inside the Beltway don't need you George. They just purchased 450 million rounds of .20 caliber hollow point (illegal) ammunition. Now please ask yourself why did they do that?

        • Rick

beijingyank, don't get me wrong dude. I am a thinker and have looked at the evidence for 911 and also think it was a false flag event. I think the gov is pure evil and constantly lying to us, they are beyond rogue, they hate us, want us thinned out and are simply a danger to our constitution and democracy.

That said, don't belittle George for his opinion. I live in this area (Fort Wayne) so trust me, I am reading every single word I can find about this event and following it quite carefully.

I am concerned but at the present time, I am not convinced this was anything but an error in the equipment. Both the networks reporting the original spike, although independent networks, use the same detector. There are thousands of people in the immediate area, there and here and everywhere in between with gieger counters. The gov may be able to censor the NPPs and gov detectors but they can't sensor a flood of people reporting high level readings from their own personal equipment. So far, i have not seen that flood of individual reports, in fact, i have seen none.

I am not saying you should trust the gov, you shouldn't ever trust pure evil. However, please remain objective and use common sense. Crying wolf before you see any wolf helps nobody.

Finally, please reserve your relatively minor knowledge of firearms and ammunition for people who don't have any knowledge of them either because it is embarrassing. The ammo the DHS purchased is .40 Smith & Wesson. It is a popular handgun and sub-machinegun caliber and the ammo they purchased is not "illegal". Not that you should not worry about them purchasing such a large quantity of it but please, don't mix fact with fiction.

          • Anonymous

            George and Rick:

Some people just aren't happy unless it's doomsday. Your facts are an illuminati conspiracy.

            • Lynda

the illuminati is not a conspiracy it is REAL DAMN IT My parents were killed! HARRP is REAL. People who worked with my dad were killed by them!! THAT IS A FACT

          • Jon

I think he means it's illegal because theres some kind of NATO agreement that says hallows aren't allowed for use.

        • Anonymous

First off there is no .20 caliber ammunition. Did you mean .40 CAL? What is your source about 450 million rounds?

    • Vivek

If people are really serious about alternatives, let us do something…

C'mon. Otherwise this well is going to only keep getting poisoned.

  • observer

cheap, baseless scare mongering for a few more hits of web traffic…..sad

    • Teodor

Observer, you aren't a real observer but much rather disconnected from reality. Very sad indeed!

  • dogismyth

You'd think sites like would print another article refuting their earlier claim of radically high radiation levels. But no….they haven't and no…they won't. Why? Because they are ALL shill sites who do nothing but pander fear and loathing to the weak-minded masses.

The internet news is lost to lies, speculation, conjecture, false data. There is no more truth on the internet than there is on TV.

Face it. Thanks to blogs like Rense, WhatReallyHappened, Before It News, Activist Post and many other….the truth has been hidden once again all for commercial reasons. Yes…all those sites are designed for profit…just look at their advertising. They are a business who, like all other businesses, put profit before truth and the general good of the public.

Not one of these blogs has gone out of their way to do actual investigative work or journalism. They are all hype. Ideas built upon loose facts and lies.

So just forget all the junk you read nowadays. The internet is more awash with fraud then your government.

    • OZX

Notice how the shill specifically points out the best news sources. Why should anyone believe him?

More lies designed to demoralize. Another government stooge fails miserably.

go turn on fox news anus licker

    • Edofin

"The internet news is lost to lies, speculation, conjecture, false data. There is no more truth on the internet than there is on TV."

"The internet is more awash with fraud then your government."

Umm.. I don't think that's physically possible. ..Like fitting sense into your head…

If YOU "Know The Truth". Then put it on the web. Even if nobody but your grandmother visits the page. Least you can do that, now post it on TV. Public access isn't THAT expensive, however you don't get as many "stray clicks".. ..and when it's done airing, well it's done, gone. How can you even compare the two on those grounds?

      • Lynda

just try to post it on the TV or newspaper or radio , they wont post it they are controlled by the bad guys.

  • Damcho Dronma

do you have any verification that the EPA was involved at all?

are there any other readings from people in Indiana or Michigan that are also reporting high numbers,

other than Black Cat that already stated they got there hi reading from the same source that is equipment related. Machines DO malfunction.

We know there are many plant mutations in this region, but I still prefer getting FACTS and not speculating.

  • Furry

What was terminated from viewing by the EPA? I just checked and all of those numbers in the screen cap are still available on the RadNet query.

  • k detreaux

this was a glitch. One man had one geiger reading to two different stations. This was a false read…that is being spread because it is a slow news day. Good to keep an eye on things…. but totally false read.

possibly Palisades nuclear plant near South Haven, Michgan, its had numerous shutdowns and problems over the past year

    • guest

I live a small ways away from palisades and it has been know to have been shut down due to problems around the time of this incident. They built a new plant north of there not too long ago. As a resident, I called as it was being built and asked if it was nuclear. They then told me I had no right to know and the next day or two later, I heard on the news. Due to government regulations we as the public are not allowed to know where nuclear reactors are. Then they told us it ran on natural gas. Now, Come to think of it. I saw no new natural gas lines put in to accommodate such a facility. They built a hospital next door to it. Probably to cover up any related deaths from it.

  • mto in ma

What I haven't seen mentioned is, WHAT is in that area that could have caused this? Is there a nuclear power plant in that area? A military base? A research facility? I'm not familiar with the area so I just don't know. And as Brad Johnson asks, can this be measured with a 'simple' home geiger counter? Has anyone done so?

    • twisted

Could we get more updates on this story? This is very concerning to me, as I am moving to Detroit soon. What area around the disaster is contaminated with high levels of radiation?

    • cpod

I am terribly sorry for your misfortune.

    • John Doe III

Would not "moving to Detroit" involve dangers way beyond this reported radiation incident?

  • Mark

Radiation in this area has been increasing for a very long time and I believe the plant producing this massive radiation has blown a major cooling pipe and is being covered up by claiming this is all part of a "Military Exercise" to calm people and get them back to their televisions when in reality this is another Fukushima type Nuclear Disaster.

    • Xanadu

      This plant?

Just to let the sincere minority have a hint that may allow them to figure it out for themselves="Who made it a point to buy up all of the big networks as a "side investment"? G.E.(MK 1 BWR's"Fukushima")bought NBC and Westinghouse(another crap nuke co.) owns CBS and Rupert Murdock (aka Satan) owns Faux News and the rest!! Who is IL's biggest contributor to Obama's re-election campaign?
