extremists grow food 263x164 Government Labels those who Grow their Own Food Extremists(NaturalSociety) Those who mean to lord over us, such as the Department of Defense, have now called people who grow their own food ‘radical’ and extremists. Sound familiar? It’s just like the US calling other nations terrorists when our government has terrorized more of the ‘free’ world than we could even imagine. It has basically called its own citizens terrorists already with NSA spying.

How in the world has it come to this? Americans are becoming ‘serfs’ to their own government much the same way that the British monarchy forced self-sufficient farmers to divide up their land into mono-cropping plots so that they could tax the heck out of everyone and make them reliant upon the same system of tenet farming which then enslaved the masses.

What’s worse, even the founding fathers are considered ‘extremists’ by the Pentagon, according to a new training manual that labels farmers as such. This bit of information was discovered by the legal watchdog, Judicial Watch, as part of a Freedom of Information Act request, and was included in over 133 documents provided by the Air Force. To teach our military to root out ‘extremism’ in a ‘student guide’, those who would decide to grow some organic cabbage, non-GMO corn, and tomatoes, for example, would be considered a threat to national defense. Even though the document says that this is ‘for training purposes only’ and ‘do not use on the job,’ why on earth would such a reference be made? It is simply preposterous.

The manual goes on to pigeonhole those who would have the gall to grow their own food:

An “extremist” is “a person who advocates the use of force or violence; advocates supremacist causes based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or national origin; or otherwise engages to illegally deprive individuals or groups of their civil rights.”

In addition, it says, “Nowadays, instead of dressing in sheets or publically espousing hate messages, many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place.”

I am a writer, but I have no words.

So essentially – as we ‘ve all suspected of late, if we believe in supporting our own rights, if we believe in freedom – sovereignty of food, and lifestyle, then we are enemies of the state and federal government. I’m not sure what country we live in anymore, but it certainly isn’t one in which we allow ‘freedom to ring.’

Many of our founding fathers were farmers. Many of them spoke of ways to make this country a better place. Upholding basic human rights does not equate to terrorism. Like a stack of pancakes, they’ve flipped the truth over on itself.

The document was obtained from the Air Force, but originated in the Department of Defense Office, which means it is likely used for ‘training’ in other military branches. I do sincerely hope that there are still men and women in midst, like Edward Snowden, who will stand for what is right, and not for rhetoric and blatant propaganda. Don’t let them turn us against each other. That is their plan.

Take for example, the striking similarity to the language of the IRS when it was targeting people in Tea Party investigations.

In my book, we all need to be extremists to overturn a sick, Imperial, bloated government who thinks we are all slaves ready to bow at their feet and kiss and their muddied shoes. No more business as usual.

From around the web:

  • Dave

I don’t believe the government just as much as anyone else here, but this article is complete hyperbole. The quotes given don’t justify the headline at all. Not only does it not say anything about people growing their own food, but the definition of an extremist is pretty accurate. Save the anger for where there is evidence.

  • highlanderjuan

I have a theory that we have re-entered the feudal period. We are merely serfs to the reining monarchy of elites.

  • AZ gardener

    @Christina Sarich
Nowhere in the referenced DoD training manual does it say “people who grow their own food are ‘radical’ and
extremists,” nor does it imply that.

I did see the part where the founding Fathers were considered an example of ‘extremism’, as were Civil War scesessionists, but I don’t think those examples are particular cause for alarm. Not all of the founding fathers were farmers, i.e., Ben Franklin, Thomas Paine, and probably others, but even if BF and TP had gardens, that’s hardly evidence to imply that this training manual teaches: “people who grow their own food are ‘radical’ and extremists”.

Your title and first sentence are pure fiction, which is misleading and unethical.

I do think we should be wary that the manual says:

    1) “Nowadays, instead of dressing in sheets or publicly espousing hate messages, many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and how to make the world a better place.”

    2) “Eco-Warriors – Environmental activist’s who take action to fight against the exploitation of the environment and/or animals. An eco-warrior can be someone non-confrontational, such as a tree-sitter, or someone who engages in direct action.”

Environmental activism, supporting the Constitution, states rights, and making the world a better place, would not in my opinion, be extremist views.

  • Emslykarl

What kind of twisted logic do these Beaurocrats use to reach these kinds of conclusions – that Americans who grow their own food pose a threat to our nation’s security ? Please keep in mind while pondering the answer , that these same people ARE now in control of our healthcare ! Yes they are ! Take a good look at Janet Napolitano and tell me if she makes you feel safe and secure !

  • Elene Gusch, DOM

The two paragraphs quoted from the manual say NOTHING whatsoever about people who grow their own food. Please tell me how in the world you can read such a thing into this:

‘An “extremist” is “a person who advocates the use of force or
violence; advocates supremacist causes based on race, ethnicity,
religion, gender, or national origin; or otherwise engages to illegally
deprive individuals or groups of their civil rights.”

    ‘In addition, it says, “Nowadays,
instead of dressing in sheets or publically espousing hate messages,
many extremists will talk of individual liberties, states’ rights, and
how to make the world a better place.”’

If you want to worry about what the government is doing, there are plenty of legitimate targets for your anxieties. This is not one of them. Paranoia serves no one.

I hope readers have taken the time to carefully read this article instead of merely parroting the headline.

  • Undecider

What else can we expect from a terrorist and extremist government?

  • Reality of Truth

There is only one good thing I can deduce from the absolute tyranny and evil that is spewing from the US Incorporated Government.

    And that is:
In the end they will only destroy themselves when there is no sustaining ecosystem for them to abuse. Everyone needs clean oxygen, fresh water, and good food and since the US is destroying all of those things, eventually they will kill themselves off as well.

    Sad, but true.

I certainly don’t want it to come to that, but if we fail to stop this blasphemy then at least they will get rid of themselves for us.

It’s shameful to live in a country that touts as being the best on the planet, but is actually the worst evil on the earths surface.
    It’s disappointing and its disgraceful.

  • Jeff

The lying hypocrite politicians are NOT THE government! AMERICANS NEED TO WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT THE LIARS WHO USURP THE POWER OF “THE” GOVERNMENT ARE SLAVES TO “WE THE PEOPLE”! Why can’t we the people amass and unite on the issues that most affect society today like GMO, odumbocare, amnesty, and lying hypocrite politicians who MUST ALL be fired or exiled to a far away place. EVERY POLITICIAN IN THE WORLD! Are we the people that lame? have we the people become the sheeples that will soon be canon fodder if we don’t stop this madness?

  • Troo

One needs to understand what this really signifies. It is the very equivalent of Jim Jones forcing his followers to drink cyanide kool-aid. The intent of government, in my opinion, is to deprive us of good food and supplements so that when they release the many pathogens intended for us, most of us will die as they have planned from quite some time ago. So lets all be good boys and girls and drink our cyanide like the lemmings we are, right? How dare we protest our own execution. Of the 900 people to die at Jonestown, Only about 3 fled, and 2 of them died, or something like that. If I had to go, Id rather go by bullet than cyanide. But that’s just me, I guess ;)

  • ant

god knows the NSA knows everything

  • Findus

I’ve searched thru the manual… And I can’t find any reference to non-GMO farmers as extremists or homegrowing at all. Would somebody please point it out?

  • Dr.. Rima

6 years ago I wrote that in 5 years growing clean food would be an act of civil disobedience. I am sorry to say that I was right.

    Fuck the government!!!!

  • AS This may be the 2010 manual named in the article.

  • stevo_777

Calling what mankind has been doing for millenia, raising and storing food, extreme, is ridiculous at best.

  • RapidRay01 .

The Force is not the same organization that I served from 1972-80 ! Sad state of affair !!

  • Mary Brown

They can’t kill us off if we refuse to eat their GMO poison, plus a garden gives you food independence out of their control. Control, control, control, liberals may as well chant it!

    • WhatWillYouDoWithoutFreedom

They passed a law during the last lame duck session of congress that allows them to bulldoze your garden, at their discretion, You can take them to court afterwards, but a lot of good that’s going to do you. Agenda 21 leaves no one on the land.

  • cybervigilante

The IRS was also targeting leftist groups equally, but this has been lost in the noise.

  • Linda Hamilton

The IRS was not just targeting Tea Party groups but Progressive ones also.I will no longer subscribe to your news letter if you do not tell the truth.

  • marcosanthonytoledo

That would made the victory gardens of WW11 treasonous do these jerks even think.

  • noprivacyallowed373

The “government” that pretends to be one means absolutely nothing to me. I have no respect for any part of our supposed 3-part system. Truman Show, anyone? Hello all you bastards behind the Oz curtain.

  • Dan

    I have several tomatoes plants .. And a pecan tree… I am a extremist

  • cml37822

So is the first lady a terrorist? She supports and promotes raising a home garden. Good food etc. So will we be seeing tfl in the FEMA camps? Just saying…

  • Alleged Comment

Jest laff at the idiots that label you as an extremist when they are the real extremist. They call it “projection” I think. Another stupid term extremist use.

Remember, liberals call YOU what THEY are. Now go to bed!

    • Lex loathar

Canadians are easy to sneak up on what with all those loonies and twonies jingling away in their pockets.

      • AwakenedAngryAmerican

It be funny if the part of the foreign troops here to kill us all wasn’t true.

  • Lex loathar

Screw them. I don’t care what label they put on me. If someone goes screwing around with my garden, they are going to be surprised.

    • Just Sayin’

Tons of folks in my area garden. I don’t think anyone would be left if they arrested us all. On another note, hasn’t anyone wondered why none of these trolls have been “surprised” by honest, hard-working, law-abiding folks yet. How much more can a human take? They are now able to take your home, land, kids, garden, etc…I am amazed that a “Fort Sumter” moment hasn’t arrived yet. You know, the “shot that was heard around the world?” I guess that’s what happens when folks think guns are evil.

      • Cranthom Roberts

If you download copywrited material, you have technically committed a crime, which would authorise a search warrant and raid on your home.
The system is already set up to legally pounce on anyone for almost anything.
The only step needed next for a complete tyranny is the political conviction that they must enforce all the laws to the maximium.
We are not there yet only because it is not physically practical, the tyranny is in place though and just waiting to be implemented.

        • Ricky Blaze

          This year probably.

      • Elene Gusch, DOM

No one is going to arrest you for gardening– unless you live in one of those benighted areas where food gardens aren’t allowed in front yards, and laws are changing in those places too, and at any rate they are under local control so that locals can deal with them. You would be better served by working in your garden than by worrying about the feds coming in and messing with you.

  • Arizona

WELL you got a big problem,WITHOUT THE CHIP,(mark of the beast) you won’t be allowed to OWN ANYTHING,land,a car, equipment, farm equipment,FARMS,RANCHES,or just a HOME out in the country,IT will ALL be taken from you,and you can’t stop it,you let your POLICE GANGS get to big and to powerful, now they decide who can have what, and who will live,AND YOUR SCREWED,everyones LIPS are glued to their butt and they know it,hahahaha, your finished………….

We don’t own anything now. Check the title to any of your property. You will find language that puts the state as owner and you/us as the “user”.

  • Kevn0

These people are like gasoline: much improved with a bit of lead.

    • AwakenedAngryAmerican

Actually. Everything is a slave tax. You can’t get as sick as fast eating non-gmo food. You can’t buy their meds or pay for their treatment to “fix” the sickness that you get from eating gmo foods.

      On another note:

I find it peculiar that government officials can openly joke or discuss or fantasize about killing American Citizens. Yet, if someone even hints at offing a government official the Secret Service and FBI can (&do) arrest and interrogate…er investigate.

The NSA has every communication and knows everything about EVERY buddy. How come some modern day Paul Revere with them hasn’t leaked all the names and addresses to all the members of the Federal Reserve (Elite, or Illuminatti, Or Powers that be) and ordered or steered one of the SAME drones that they say is legal to kill those who they swear oath to serve. And say steer it to the extremist non-gmo eating evil banking Cabal member parties during a big get together or meeting?

      • ecogal

what – are you saying mean bankers and elites eat NON-GMO? They aren’t partaking of the glory that is being churned out for them ahead of their conversions to the transhuman Ray Kurzweil cyborg state? sheesh…

    • Elene Gusch, DOM

Gardening doesn’t make you an extremist, but talking about shooting people you don’t even know, based on a misleading article, sure makes you sound like one.

  • Eagle Prepper 1

I am sorry, I could not find the term farmers, gardeners or organic food growers anywhere in the list of ‘extremists.’ While I do not necessarily doubt that the government considers us to be potential extremists, I need to see it in print before I can make that accusation.

    • Patti Jo Roth-Edwards

The reference was to a training manual.

      • Eagle Prepper 1

I have read the training manual and no where in the manual are those terms used!

        • Complacent One

          Yup, you’re right Eagle Prepper.

I pulled up the document ( and ran searches which yielded no results of the following:

          - farm
          - garden
          - grow
          - food

C’mon reporters – cite what you’re stating, and if you don’t have a citation don’t state it!

        • Elene Gusch, DOM

This is obvious, but people are ranting rather than reading.

  • Dave

Quote “…much the same way that the British monarchy forced self-sufficient
farmers to divide up their land into mono-cropping plots so that they
could tax the heck out of everyone”

That goes back a couple of hundred years, you forgot to mention that was in the past. But you put it across giving the impression it is today.

When you get some facts wrong it diminishes the truth for the rest of the article.

    • misleading

To add : There is no such thing has ‘British farming’ …since devolution the Governments of Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland administer own farming and agriculture. UK Gov’t only has say over farming in England …the monarchy has no say.

    • Patti Jo Roth-Edwards

I understood what he meant and the point is that the State (Federal Government) is attacking our right to grow healthful nutrient dense food and sell it.

      • Exaggeration

The base of the article has some truth ..but then gets over-bloated and exaggerated sounding like something Alex (nutjob) Jones, would say.

        • Guest

You sound like a nut job yourself. Either that or your paid by the government to troll websites and spread disinformation.

          • Exaggeration

Your third lesson ..learn what troll means, since that was my first comment how can I be a troll? (lesson3).

You sound like a rock that soaks up nothing that is going on around you. They have bet on the flouride flavored kool-aide drinking programed half-zombies saying “That could never happen here in America” or “They would never try that” or “No one would ever let it happen.”

They won their bet. They were right.

Guess what. It already has happened. They even play it for you on TV and at the theaters.

Guess what else? The nutjobs were right. And you are still in denial. Go home and put your heads together. At least if there is enough of you guys. You putting heads together would form a rock pile.

  • yankee phil

GMO food stuffs may actually alter the DNA of the individuals that consume them on a regular basis. This may be intentional, and the alteration may be considered a defect that requires a mandatory “treatment” at a later stage. Growing your own food may alter these plans and represent a challenge to the defense department. The fact that labeling GMO’s is such a sore point for the government, not just monsanto, seems to indicate some sort of long range government plan for these products.

    • frank

Considering how financially implicated the govts around the world are in the gmo/transgenic proliferation, I’d say that it’s the money aspect at the immediate root. The U.S. is heavily invested in the diabolic research and buying of “good will” when this nasty product is dumped on poor countries. If those populations are depleted, hey, it opens up real estate to be exploited by the U.S. However you look at it, it’s money.
