Even if it was sure that microcephaly is caused by the Zika virus, the unpredictable and uncontrollable side effects must forbid the releasing of these GM mosquitoes.

But the WHO has officially stated that microcephaly is not linked directly to the Zika
    virus.

Physicians of the Crop-Sprayed Towns (PCST) of Brazil think that the chemical Pyriproxyfen, added to the drinking water reservoirs in Brazilian towns to stop the
proliferation of the Zika mosquito, might be the true cause of microcephaly (Pyriproxyfen is produced by Sumitomo Chemical, a Japanese subsidiary of Monsanto!).

According to a recent PCST report, «Pyriproxyfen is a growth inhibitor of mosquito larvae, which alters the development process from larva to pupa to adult, thus generating malformations in developing mosquitoes and killing or disabling them.» And: «Previous Zika epidemics did not cause birth defects in newborns, despite infecting 75% of the population in those countries. Also, in other countries such as Colombia there are no records of microcephaly; however, there are plenty of Zika cases.»

The Brazilian government has now suspended the use of Pyroproxyfen.

Independently of what the cause is (home made by Monsanto or not), it’s totally irresponsible to release GM insects in the wild.

The mosquitoes are a means to an end.
