  1. Obviously English is not your strong suit; your comment is nonsensical, at best. Did you use translation software, or just skip a lot of school?

    1. You really are not communicating.

  2. ““It can, I think very correctly, be called
‘environmental racism’ or ‘environmental injustice’ that low-income
people, people of color, bear the brunt of these practices.”
this is not about racism or about social class whatsoever, let’s not get distracted from the real issue: that they’re doing this in the first place. Sure that may be a symptom but that’s Invisible, nonexistent in comparison to the grim reality of factory farms. If they didn’t exist, NO ONE would have to bear the consequences.

  3. OMG! They’re spraying manure on the fields! It’s a good thing organic farmers don’t use… eh wait…never mind.

    1. manure is good only when it’s from healthy animals.

    2. Denise Canter says:

Organic farmers use composted manure. Not the same. So, yes, mind.

  4. Ma Barker says:

I think the protesters are protesting the wrong thing (police officers) …they need to be protesting the government as well as big corporations for environmental racism.

  5. Forced on “people of color”? Come to Tennessee, we don’t discriminate or have private feces lakes. Knowing that perhaps you should ask yourself why it is that nobody that is from here actually eats the fish from lakes, rivers and streams these days. We just watch the transplants eat them.

    1. Benjamin Joseph L says:

Do yourself a favor, Canadian_skeptic is a GMO troll. It won’t respond to a real debate happening in its name, it is on here just to piss real concerned people off. The name itself “Canadian_skeptic” was chosen by a panel to have an effect at luring people into debate. I’m doing a whole article on “Canadian_skeptic” the troll. Not a real person, just a corporation. Relax, go spend time with your family, don’t let this robot lure you in. Ask it its name or locale, or for a website, or even email, you’ll get nothing.

  6. “And this is just one part of this factory farm system by Murphy-Brown, a subdivision of Smithfield Farms — the largest pork producer in the United States.”
Smithfield Farms aka Smithfield Foods aka Smithfield are the same company and was purchased by mainland China’s WH Group in September, 2013. WH Group is a global corporation with headquarters in Hong Kong; Shuanghui Group (Shineway Group), Luohe, Henan, People’s Republic of China; Smithfield Foods, Smithfield, Virginia; and, Campofrio Food Group, Madrid, Spain.
