I never thought I would be defending McDonald's. I am not a fan of fast food, and plenty of it is not fit to be eaten. ( for example, I bought some chicken nuggets at Wendy's two years ago, I ate one and and left the rest in a paper bag in my office. They are still fresh-2 years!- and even the mice didn't touch them. But has anyone seen a McDonald's menu recently? Salads, Newman's organic coffee for a buck, yogurt with fresh fruit, black angus beef wraps with fresh vegetables… It all boils down to personal choices. If you want to eat healthy at McDonald's, now you can. Sure they still sell the same old burgers, but let's credit where credit is due. They have come a long way.

    1. Organic coffee? Yeah, sure, right. Their salads are laden with sugar, everything is covered with all the toxic chemicals. Do you actually think there's someone in the back cutting fruit, making salads? No, no, no. It's just an image they're trying to present– and they're desperate — because more and more people know about the toxicity of their food. Just stay away.

Actually, I work there. The salads are made everyday. The lettuce comes in bags already washed and chopped up. Other than that , we chop all the other vegetables up that same morning and they're fresh. There is no sugar unless you add the dressings. Read your salad dressing labels if you want to know whats in them. I read all labels at mcdonalds so I know whats in the food. I'm not saying Mcdonalds is healthy by any means but there are a few choices, that are O.K.

        1. Ya well the vegi's and the fruit are not organic so there's the rub- pesticide laden also the main letuce i'm willing to bet is iceburg lettuce super laden w/ pesticides- and no they don't wash off1 also the salad dressings are made w/ gmo ing. galore- so you think your eating something healthy? I think not! Most people are foolish w/ food- Michael Phelps included even he will succum to cancer if he keeps eating fake poisonous food! How pathetic- it truly is!

  2. d.b. sicilianese, don't be fooled by slick advertising campaigns which are basically propaganda telling us that fast food is healthy. It's not, no matter what item you pick from the menu. The only reason McDonald's appears to have "come a long way" is because that's what the Ad Men want you to think.

  3. Organic coffee?? Yes or do you have a problem with Newman's Own Organic Coffee cause that's what it is…Do you really think there is someone in the back making salads??? duh…yes and just because we don't have to cut the fruit doesn't mean it isn't fruit. We have frozen strawberries and blueberries for our parfaits ever hear of them??? I think you can buy them at the grocery store but no you better not because everyone knows about the toxicity…yeah right…

  4. You might see a pencilneck like that Phelps cat eating that rubbish – but not a competitive bodybuilder! I guess the old "You are what you eat" adage has a ring of truth to it.

What truly saddens me is seeing mother 'whales' feeding that poison to their bloated blimp offspring, destining them to a life of misery and metabolic syndrome.

Just another example of the hypocrisy that exists in our society–and we must accept that it exists…….Doesn't mean we have to believe for one minute that this "food thing" is healthy! No person, never mind elite athletes, would eat that fake food more than "very once in awhile"….if at all…..All of the so called "fast food" does a good job of slowly killing us—It's a VERY cheap-THRILL!…… if you can even consider it that. Just GARBAGE.period!…..just sayin……..

  6. Well…… we have a dilemma, honestly unless your either growing your own food, meats and all else, with known provable unmodified/certified, vegtable seeds and other. And your raising/butchering/ your own hogs/cattle/poultry/etc.,then no one is really eating healty anyway. Also a USDA seal oc "certified organic" in my estimation, is as worthless as our present currency – 5 cents on the dollar at best due to inflation.

Even with that, an average family of six can not spend the money to even consider purchasing "all" certified meats and produce and everything else. Especially if thier are older children in the house.

The "new" >green< grocery stores are the same breed of business as the old ones, so are the resturaunts or anything else green in nature business-wise. Though the entrepenuers may have started out with healthy clean food in mind, most are selling out to other big companies and it will only be a matter of time before Monsanto meat and grains and other makers of additives and poison's will be in charge of the green industry also. Wake up!!

Want to fight it? Simple… Spend the time growing your own as much as possible and but locally all you can, put the Grocery store out of business and the resturaunts to. will this solve the "entire" problem? Unfortunately not, we still have to deal with big industry in other areas such a toxifying the ground water and of course nuclear aciidents which pose a bigger threat in the short run thqan anything else. Dangerous world we live in… prepare yourself while your able.

  7. When I heard about MacDonalds being the "official" restaurant of the Olympics" is was like, "What?!!" Now, I personally don't have anything against McDonalds food, but that would be like making "The Alaskan Fur Company" the official store for PETA. No Olympic athlete is going to eat McDonald's meals while their training! It just won't happen! It's hilarious really, how ironic it is. I find it quite funny.

  8. But some of them burgers do taste gooood. And

what you described as a 'feast' is not. It is a small

meal. One burb later and you're hungry again.

A MickeyD feast includes at least 3 burgers.

  9. I still don't know how it can be classified as a restaurant every restaurant I have ever been too has had these things in common whether it has cost $5 – $90 to eat there.

    1. Seated at a table.

    2. Have your order taken at the table by a waiter.

    3. Supplied with cutlery that is not plastic.

    4. Pay for the meal at your leisure before you leave.

McDonald's is deliberately trading off the Olympic image of peak health and performance to push their toxic waste on to people selling it as “a healthy choice” restaurant.

McDonalds only has the Mc Caffe option so they can be seen as healthy its only worth 5% of sales but it avoids a lot more bad PR by having it, by doing so they make it your choice to by the wrap or the fat burger.

Shame on all the people particularly the IOC and the London game organizers who have allowed this to happen.

    Joel.
