  1. Long time, no hear, Mike. Good to see you again.

This is very good news from Campbell!

One thing we have to be alert for, however: Any attempt to use QR (“quick response”) matrix-type bar codes for labeling. These codes are Not understandable at a glance like clear package labels are – “contains GMOs” or “made with genetically engineered ingredients,” e.g.

QR codes further require all citizens who buy food at stores to also buy an expensive smart phone, buy a QR application, lug the phone to the store, pull out the phone, scan the QR code, be directed to essentially an advertising site for the product, and then wade through tons of ads before learning whether the product is GE’d or contains GMOs. Ugh!

Keep up the good work, Campbell. And next time, how about putting some of your million$ into Supporting labeling initiatives?

Something is up if one of the big boys in food is giving the people what they want. Or maybe they are just getting in front of the curve. This whole transition from oil based agriculture, to living soil again , is going to be a painful one. Good job Campbell soup !
