waterfountainkid 210x131 Water Fluoridation War | Government Admits Dangers, Experts Speak Out

It was only a few years ago that if you labeled fluoride as a dangerous substance, you would be laughed at and scorned. For years, a select minority of individuals were the only ones raising the awareness of this health concern. Their cries have been and continue to be met with dissonance, despite the fact that the public’s opinion on fluoride has changed much in just a short time. In fact, even the United States government has called for lower levels of water fluoridation following a study published in Environmental Health Perspectives, which found that increased fluoride consumption led to decreased IQ in children.

Communities are attempting to end water fluoridation, mainstream news is acknowledging its negative effects, and even a number of professional dentists have recognized the dangers of fluoride, and spoken out against its use and distribution. Most recently, the Palmer City Council of Alaska passed an ordinance repealing the town’s water fluoridation mandate.

Sodium Fluoride, the Voyage from Rat Poison to Toothpaste

Mainstream dentistry and oral health has been the vehicle through which sodium fluoride, a chemical byproduct of fluorine has been injected into our everyday lives. Said to ‘fight tooth decay’ and ‘strengthen enamel,’ it has been proliferated into nearly every form of toothpaste. Dentists also apply fluoride topically to teeth during routine visits to produce said effects. It has been added to municipal water supplies since the early 1900s, under the same premise of aiding oral health and hygiene.

Despite this, fluoride has a notoriously negative track record in terms of how it is used, and the products that use it as an active ingredient. While being used in toothpaste and various mouth washes, fluoride is also the main ingredient in many rat poisons, Prozac (an anti-depressant found to actually lead to suicide and other health conditions), and is even labeled as a toxic substance.

In fact, the safety precautions regarding sodium fluoride are quite telling themselves:

Risk and Safety Phrases.

      • R25 – Toxic if swallowed.
      • R32 – Contact with acid liberates very toxic gas.
      • R36/38 – Irritating to skin and eyes.
      • S1/2 – Keep locked up and out of reach of children.
      • S22 – Do not breathe dust.
      • S36 – Wear suitable protective clothing.
      • S45 - In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label whenever possible.)

Of course it is important to note that there is a difference between topical fluoride exposure and internal consumption. With topical fluoride exposure, the amount of actual internal exposure can be minimal. However, many forms of fluoride exposure are through the internal digestion of the substance that has been linked to reduced IQ in major studies. Fluoride tablets have been distributed to children in public schools, leading to the complete digestion of the substance, as opposed to topical use.

For quite some time there have been a host of individuals speaking out against water fluoridation and its inclusion in foods, oral hygiene products, and as psychotropic drugs. Many foreign countries have banned its inclusion in municipal water supplies, and many U.S. states are progressively moving towards the same, as research continues to come out on the subject.

More recently, many practicing dentists have admitted that water fluoridation is a health risk, and should be stopped. This demonstrates a profound nature of humility that most doctors and large drug companies have yet to realize. If the mainstream medical establishment could own up to its shortcomings and work towards changing them, there would be nothing to fear. Sadly in pursuit of profit, they go to great lengths to maintain the guise of authenticity, while slowly shearing the individual of their health and wealth.

Okay, troxel, an interesting Toothpaste Recipe, (#2), I question, then what is Toothpaste Recipe #1 ? I’ll try the recipe except I cannot tolerate castile soap, as I’m highly allergic to CS.

Don't add any drug or chemical to my water period. The only justifiable treatment may be small amounts chlorine to control bacterial growth but that's it, there are no benefits from digestive tract sodium fluoride ingestion. It's like say drinking a small amount of sun block in municipal water would be good to protect skin from UV, do you think that would work? Fluoride is supposed to have benefits through topical application only, guess what it's in your food look up the FDA's fluoride in food chart, there are cumulative effects going on here.

  • Tim

The best information on fluoride you will ever hear is at the bottom of the website Dr. Lee, Dr. Yiamouyannis, Dr. Mullenix, and Joanie Greggains give you the history, health effects, origins, and reasons why this toxic industrial waste product is banned in most countries of the world. The audio is 75 minutes long which fits perfectly on a regular audio cd. You might consider burning hundreds of cds and circulating them around your community. The pro-fluoridationists will have a much more difficult time doing their job when surrounded by an informed public. Good luck.

  • Rob

Sodium fluoride is the active ingredient in rat poison, and in insecticides, so you feed it to your children?

And we drink it in the public water supply?

Hey if it is poison it can't be good. IT IS POISON!

And the people pushing it are scam artists, just by the fact that it is mass medicating everyone against their will.

  • Obeserver On The Hil

just google "fluoride and nazi experiments" this will tell you all you need to knwo

  • JaseFace

Check this out about a spill at a water treatment plant. Flouride about to be put in the water supply there got spilled in the car park – 'eating the concrete' and requiring evacuation of the plant and a Haz-Mat team response.

    Not in my water thanks!

I'm amazed the New has the gall to, on one hand describe how toxic it was and not question that its OK to put in the drinking water supply – Scary

Almost as bad is that few people point out that when you drink flouridated water, it spend a micro-second washing over your teeth before it's job help in them is done. Look at your flouridated toothpaste – there's a warning that says supervise kids and don't let them swallow – why ever not?

  • Mike

Fluoride is the reason why the people in America are so stupid and believe everything the mainstream media lies about.

Through researching neurological development, I came across a very little known fact; we all know that fluoride reduces thyroid function and thus IQ, and causes Alzheimer's disease type holes in the brain, but did you also know that fluoride stops the production in the brain of the brain cell and neuron growth stimulant, phosphatidyl serine, along with other necessary growth precursors. The brain should normally replace any damaged cells, and be constantly developing new cells and neuron interconnections in elongated neuron dendrites. Your brain cannot do this without phosphatidyl serine and the other growth precursors; this is why they are so keen on spraying fluoride on food in such massive quantities. The amounts they put in the water you consume, as well as in your toothpaste are tiny by comparison, and the constantly raging debates on fluoride in water and toothpaste are something of a red herring, intended to make us think that we should only be concerned about fluoride in these two areas, whilst being completely unaware of the absolutely massive poisoning of our food by it being sprayed with fluoride. It is most interesting that a food item most often used by the armed forces and survivalists is the most poisoned of all, so that these groups will be the most damaged of all. Powdered egg for instance, after being sprayed, contains around 750 ppm fluoride, the concentration of which is almost the same as toothpaste with fluoride in, and we know eating a tube of that is lethal to a child. Instant tea powder contains an inconceivably massive fluoride content after being sprayed, of nearly 90,000 ppm. This of course stops you thinking on higher levels stone cold dead; can you see they are trying to stop your clock?

Study this scientific evidence to see that fluoride prevents the brain from growing new tissue and regenerating old tissue. The text following is an extract from the following scientific article:
Brain membrane lipid in rats were analyzed after being fed either 30 or 100

ppm fluoride for 3, 5, and 7 months. The protein content of brain with fluorosis

decreased, whereas the DNA content remained stable during the entire period of

investigation. After 7 months of fluoride treatment, the total brain

phospholipid content decreased by 10% and 20% in the 30 and 100 ppm fluoride

groups, respectively. The main species of phospholipid influenced by fluorosis

were phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, and phosphatidylserine. The

fatty acid and aldehyde compositions of individual phospholipid classes were

unchanged. No modifications could be detected in the amounts of cholesterol and

dolichol. After 3 months of fluoride treatment, ubiquinone contents in brain

were lower; however, at 7 months they were obviously increased in both groups of

fluoride treatment. The results demonstrate that the contents of phospholipid

and ubiquinone are modified in brains affected by chronic fluorosis and these

changes of membrane lipids could be involved in the pathogenesis of this

Department of Pathology, Guiyang Medical College, Guizhou, China.

You can remedy the damage done to a great degree by using the supplement phosphatidyl serine, and add the other phospholipids too if you like, they often occur together in fish oil anyway.

Honestly,I wonder about you anti=fluoride people because when Hitler and Stalin invaded Poland they agreed to fluoridate the Polish water as soon as possible so if it was good for Poland why not us?

  • John C

I know it's easier for some people to see the world as Black or White, but I've done quite a bit of research on Fluoride and found that there's quite a bit of BS being fed to people that are skeptical of the government.

While the US government does have some slimy dealings – Fluoride in drinking water is not one of them. There are many substances that are toxic at high doses and beneficial at lower dosages. Most of us benefit from these substances everyday…

How many here use Tylenol? Or Cough Suppressants? Would you be willing to agree with me that if you ingested an entire bottle of Tylenol, your health and life would be at risk? Yet, you'll make an argument that Fluoride is different and it's toxicity is something magical?

Fluoride's benefits far outweigh its disadvantages at low concentrations. It's not always added 'by the government'. Some well water actually tests higher in Fluoride than tap water! Municipal governments would surely want to make sure that Fluoride levels added don't reach unsafe levels with natural Fluoride added into the mix. It just takes a little reading and commonsense to come to this conclusion.

I doubt anybody here could show me a single shred of repeatable results that show Fluoride actually reduces IQ. Also, keep in mind that IQ tests are not necessarily a clear-cut thing either. Do you realize how wishy-wash IQ tests really are?

If you really distrust the government, put your energy into calling out the erosion of the middle-class and the emptying of the US treasury. 'Fluoride conspiracy theories' only serve to act as a decoy and discredit people that question government actions.

    • bobkat

At least with taking Tylenol or cough syrup people have a choice whether to take them or not. With fluoride we're being forcibly medicated -poissoned would be a more accurate term- and we can't avoid it unless we invest in a very expensive water filtration system. If you drink and bathe in fluoridated water daily, it's bound to have a negative effect.

    • greg

      Hi John,

There's a world of difference between Sodium Fluoride (an industrial waste) and Calcium Fluoride which is naturally occurring.

      • John C

        Hi Greg,

Yes, this is a common point brought about by a simple misunderstanding.

Calcium Fluoride does not readily dissolve in water… Sodium Fluoride is a better way of distributing Fluoride in water, the Sodium and Fluoride atoms separate readily as Na+ and F- respectively.

The Fluoride ion that remains in water is exactly the same ions one would expect to see in water via natural fluoridation. There is absolutely no difference.

The industrial byproduct I believe you are referring to is Hexafluorosilicic Acid. I believe that's a byproduct of Al. However, it too yields the Fluoride ions to water readily. At high concentration the vapor from this acid can cause lung damage, etc… But when mixed with water to maximize solubility, you are only getting Fluoride ions… Which again are no different than what's found in natural Fluoride.

As far as Bobkat's response… I hope he understands that there are worse things in drinking water than just Fluoride. We are not being medicated or poisoned – That is a statement without factual evidence to back it up. I am a skeptical person by nature and do not trust many things the US Government does, but the 'Fluoride Conspiracy' is simply filled with holes… I'm fairly sure it's not true.

Every single piece of evidence [Pertaining to Fluoride] I've examined with my scientific background, has shown that people are digesting 'hearsay' and not really talking to people knowledgeable in biochemistry. I'm not an expert by any means, but I know enough to spot misunderstandings about Fluoride.

Hope this helps… Again, I encourage everyone to research this a little more.

        • Anonymous

sounds like a idiot on floride

        • Bob

Really? Then hear what this dentist has to say while on interview on fox news. Maybe his research is good enough? Considering he is certified to practice..

        • Padre

Can you say "practicing medicine without a license"? How about "informed consent"? Hey, population growth is a problem so why don't they put contraceptives in the water? How about vitamins?

Are you familiar with trans-dermal drugs? The concept that your skin is NOT impermeable armor? That you shower in the same water you drink?

If we are NOT being medicated, why is it in the water? To keep rats out of the pipes?

When my son was younger we lived in areas where you drank well or artesian waters. No cavities in his baby teeth, nor his adult teeth. No fluoride. Peroxide and baking soda for toothpaste. Of course his sugar intake was way below the national average. For some people its easier to poison their children with fluoride than to maintain a proper diet.

I have researched this cr**. I can't believe that ANYONE older than 21, who has watched politicians pass legislation, who would want their health decisions made by those people.

    • Jeremy

Read this declassified Department of Defense document from 1962, then decide if you're still dumb enough to trust the US government. The only reason this plan was never carried out was becuase JFK vetoed the plan and fired the heads of the CIA, pentagon and the joint chiefs. Staged false flag terror is real, and our own government was willing to kill americans, including shooting down a US airliner, and blaming Castro

as a pretext to invade cuba

    • shah

I do not take tylenol or cough suppressents nor fluoride drugs etc.I try to avoid all fluorides.

    • Ron Greinke

      1. There are now nearly 30 recent scientific papers from China, India, Iran and Mexico showing that modest levels (less than 4 ppm) will reduce children's IQs.

      2. There are now more than 100 animal studies showing that fluoride influences the brain. Most of these are listed inthe book "The Case AGainst Fluoride" by Paul Connett and others.

      3. A branch of the EPA now lists fluoride as a neurotoxic chemical.

  • pedro mohr

Fluoridation is good fromviewpoint of overpopulation counts being dangerous

  • Robert Wilson

A few years ago, a Boston Marathon runner died from drinking too much water. My point – everything is toxic if the dosage is high enough.

Our bodies need all of the halides (chlorine, fluorine, iodine, bromine). Without these, we sicken and die.

The problem is, by fluoridating our water supplies we lose all control of the dosage. Some folks drink tons of water, some don't. It's a dumb policy.

Fluoride treatments by a dentist are safe and effective. Likewise, fluoride in toothpaste is also safe and effective as long as the user is sufficiently mentally competent to avoid swallowing large quantities of the stuff.

    • Emery

      what a moron……

    • Tony

Fluorine is NOT, I repeat N O T in any way, shape or form essential or necessary for people. With ZERO Fluoride or fluorine we would be perfectly healthy… Wheras water is most certainly essential to life… Yes, toxicity is dependent upon quantity of a given item… But even small doses os fluorine and fluoride are toxic…

      • Robert Wilson

Not true. We have evolved over zillions of years to use naturally occurring fluoride to strengthen our bones and teeth.

Even if you avoid fluoride additives you still are getting some in your diet.

A good thing too, for without it your bones and teeth would indeed be the worse off for it.

"Fluoride deficiencies result in an increased incidence of dental caries, increased incidence of osteoporosis, and less stable bone and tooth structure overall"

No, you wouldn't drop dead in your tracks without it, but your risk for bone fractures and tooth decay would increase. And no, appropriate doses are not toxic (a couple of mg/day).

      • John C

What research are you citing that says Fluoride is toxic at low concentrations?

I find a lot of people claiming Fluoride is bad don't even understand how it gets in the water in the first place. Fluoride is an anion and easily separates from the molecules of it's primary deliver methods which are often Silicon or Sodium… The Silicon comes from processes such as Aluminum manufacturing, but this can be further reduced to Sodium Fluoride.

You can basically say that consumption of Fluoride is one of the largest Human experiments ever run. If F- was really that toxic, you'd think there'd be overwhelming evidence of lowering IQs, Bone Cancer, etc… There is no such thing. Also, keep in mind that in place where there is no water fluoridation, they often add Fluoride to other common items such as salt.

I think certain conspiracy theories only serve to discredit the general distrust of the government. That is why it's important to keep facts straight and keep to the real problems… Illegal wars, erosion of Constitutional law, etc.

        • mark

According to research conducted by 19th century physicians, low concentrations of fluoride produce a large number of health problems when tested on healthy persons. One of these is "indifference to loved ones". Fluoride in tap water has been poisoning American marriages and families for half a century and is in part responsible for our high divorce rate. In addition, fluoride added to tap water causes bone cancer.

yeah but they use flouride derived from organic food based products and not an alluminuin by probuct

    • Jeff Kimball

Most of the toothpaste offered from Tom's of Main is not fluoride free. "Tom's Children's silly strawberry FLUORIDE toothpaste" taste like candy.

      • Emery

Colgate bought Tom's a while ago. It is not the same company as it when it started. If you notice the trend big corporation have been going around buying up natural and organics companies. Organic doesn't mean much anymore since the USDA controls the term organic. Organic can mean genetically modified. Organic can be sprayed with AUXIGRO, an MSG growth enhancing chemical spray. They then say the vegetables and fruits are organic. REALLY? Organic can mean food full of MSG substitutes – look at your labels. Anything called autolyzed or hydrolyzed is MSG. They then call it MSG free. The food industry is racket run by the government agencies. They don't protect the public – they protect the industries and corporations.

The NUKE industry sells their fluoride by products at 10,000% mark up to the government. It is then dumped into our water and most of goes into the sewer. It is a massive toxic dumping that they make money on. Some of it poisons people just like the Nazis used it in the ghettos and camps. It makes people docile and stupid – just like Prozac.

        • Anonymous

You just gave me a huge headache! I try to go organic as much as I can, but what's the point if, as you say, organic doesn't mean much anymore? How, short of growing everything ourselves, highly unlikely I might say, one can go about trying to live a healthy life?

  • nyscof

Today, people need to write, call, email and/or visit their local and state representatives. Tell them to stop adding unnecessary, health-robbing, money-wasting fluoride chemicals into your body via the water supply.

Cities where residents did this have stopped fluoridation including the following in 2011 alone:

In the US: Marcellus and Mt.Clemens, MI; Fairbanks and Palmer, Alaska; Spring Hill, Lawrenceburg & Hohenwald, TN; Philomath, OR; Pottstown, PA; College Station, TX; Spencer, Indiana; Naples, NY, Pinellas County and Tarpon, FL; Amesbury, MA. In Canada: Lake Shore, Ontario; Calgary, Slave Lake and Taber Alberta; Flin Flon, Manitoba. In New Zealand: New Plymouth and Taumarunui.

Many cities are considering stopping fluoridation including New York City

Flouridation of the water supply has been going on for almost 100 years when Edward Barnays, the father of PR first pushed for it. Barnays was a nephew of Frued and wrote a book called propoganda which many dictators have learned from. Barnays wasn't irish….
