  2. YEP, I HAVE been telling everyone who wanted to listen for years… wrote it in the youtube, internet, Facebook etc… finally the last few months i've seen it some doc's using cherries for arthritis, gout etc. The cherry juice should be 100% cherry 9not mixed) other anti inflammatory: cinnamon, ginger, oolong tea/green tea (not everyone can drink it) turmeric or curcuma spice and some herbs. eating more veggies (fresh) raw (& nuts) foods high in digestive enzymes . Peoplespharmacy.com has a lot of info. on natural home remedies.
Remember, heat destroys vitamins, enzymes etc… and when a person have some 'illnesses there is a good possibilty that has some lack o poor absortions of some vitamins and minerals..etc

  3. I am suffering from gouty arthritis since 8 years. It used to get sudden attacks of severe pain in the joints, more commonly in the big toe. The pain used to be unbearable. My doctor advised me to use Generic Colchicine immediately after the first sign of pain and swelling in the joint. After I started using this medicine, the symptoms are under control.

  5. Though anyone can get gout, it's primarily a man's disease. Women have the good fortune of being more efficient in the way they excrete uric acid. And children rarely get it.

Natural remedies can be effective. My husband (no health insurance) used them fairly successfully along with diet modification for a few years. Then, he got the Noro Virus and became dehydrated. He got the worst gout attack you can imagine. Both toes, ankles, knees, right elbow and knuckle of his index finger. The elbow actually became infected (cellulitis). Several visits to urgent care, multiple courses of steroids, (pills and 2 injections) antibiotics, and Indocin, he finally recovered. He had symptoms for more then six weeks. He couldn't work for over four weeks. Now he takes allopurinal. Not what we wanted but sure beats the alternative. If you have gout, try cherry juice, diet, etc but absolutely keep track of your uremic acid levels and have a doctor that is familiar with your case. Keep meds on hand for an emergency. You are likely to have one. This is nothing to kid around with.

  7. Honestly, you are a veteran. DFAS should do whatever they can to help you. Call them and just get to a person. From there explain your situation and let them transfer you to the right place.
