Monsanto’s Leftover Chemicals Poisoning Ft. McClellan Military Base
It is well-circulated news that between 1935 and 1999, Fort McClellan was a toxic chemical waste dump. Along with being the former home of the U.S. Army Military Police and U.S. Army Chemical Schools, it was once shut down by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Nearly 500,000 men were trained there for WWII, and thousands more men and women have stayed there since its re-opening. In recent years, Veterans have started blowing the whistle on Monsanto, as they believe the company is responsible for the mass poisoning of service members at the site.
The veterans suspected that PCBs were being released by Monsanto. For decades, the biotech and seed company, also a former military contractor for bioweapons, dumped tons of the chemicals around Anniston, Alabama, where the base is located. The controversy culminated in 2003 in a $700 million settlement with residents, but the problems persist. Some service members are now reporting higher incidence of children born with birth defects.
It should be no surprise that Monsanto would attempt to poison our own military, and if not done intentionally, then instead with enough haphazardness that they should be sued in international courts for bio-terrorism and gross negligence.
Monsanto and the Department of Defense even invested heavily in a drug to treat Ebola simultaneously to the current outbreak, so we can see just how sinister these mega-corporations in cahoots with pharmaceutical companies truly are. Tekmira, a major pharmaceutical company responsible for creating an Ebola ‘cure,’ is funded in part by – Monsanto:
“Another press release about Tekmira reveals a $140 million contract with the U.S. military for Ebola treatment drugs:
TKM-Ebola, an anti-Ebola virus RNAi therapeutic, is being developed under a $140 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Medical Countermeasure Systems BioDefense Therapeutics (MCS-BDTX) Joint Product Management Office.”

GMOs and Agent Orange are just more of the toxic chemical arsenal – PCBs are another. Just like they know GMOs are toxic – they’ve known PCBs were deadly for years.
“The people living at or around Fort McClellan were soaking up PCBs and other caustic chemicals through the air, water, soil and wildlife, all over a 66-year span. Soldiers were laying in them on the firing range, they filled their canteens with them during “hydration formations,” and they breathed them in while they ran “Cardiac Hill.” And they never suspected a thing.”
And in this trial transcript [Owens v. Monsanto CV-96-J-440-E, (N.D. Alabama April 4, 2001), pg. 454, line 6], directly from a representative of Monsanto’s mouth:
“And the truth is that in 1966 when we found out that PCBs were in the environment, we started an investigation journey and we tried to gather information and we acted responsibly.”
Monsanto knew about the military personnel being poisoned at McClellan – they’ve known for at least 40 years. There was a Washington Post article on the subject, but it has been yanked – what a surprise!
The agribusiness bully started testing the water from McClellan at University of Mississippi in 1966. The water’s effect on wildlife was startling.
Monsanto isn’t just irresponsible, they are sinister.

This is the first I’ve heard of this at Ft McClellan. I did six months at Ft Mc Clellan in early ’81 for basic and AIT for Military Police. I have some of the health issues named in the video at the end of the article. They should also check out Seneca Army Depot for radiation leakage. I did maneuvers and personally seen the white deer with brown eyes that are all over the base. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneca_white_deer
