  1. Becky Hansen Carlin says:

My doc is from England, while he has never given me pain medicine, and I have never asked for them, he did share that his trips back home are earned through medicine he prescribes.
This is a sick conflict of interest. Sure coukd cause a shady doctor to not hesitate to give you something, then another thing to cure the side affects.

  2. Patients have the right to have their pain controlled and we are finally in a period where this is the prevailing medical practice despite increasing government attempts at restricting doctors ability to prescribe. Most patients do not become addicted and many that do nonetheless have a real medical need for pain control. The motivation for regulation of pharmaceuticals is economic. If legitimate and safe use is the main concern in controlled substance, then alcohol would be regulated responsably. It causes many more deaths and is readily available to anyone including children.
