Chinese Plant Compound Wipes out Cancer in 40 Days, Says New Research
A little-known plant with a truly bizarre name is now making headlines as a cancer killer, with the compound of the plant vanishing tumors in mice with pancreatic cancer. Known as the ‘thunder god vine’ or lei gong teng, the Chinese plant is actually integrated into Chinese medicine and has been used for ages in remedying a number of conditions including rheumatoid arthritis.
According to the new research out of the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center, the thunder god plant compound led to no signs of tumors after a 40 day period — even after discontinuing the treatment. Published in the journal Science Translational Medicine and funded by the National Institutes of Health, even the scientists working on the project were stunned by the anti-cancer properties of the compound. Known to contain something known as triptolide, which has been identified as a cancer fighter in previous research, it is thought to be the key component that may be responsible for the anti-tumor capabilities.
Study leader and vice chairman of research at the Cancer Center explained to Bloomberg how he was blown away by the effects of the simple plant:
“This drug is just unbelievably potent in killing tumor cells,” he said.
And just like with numerous other powerful substances like turmeric and ginger, mainstream science is still slowly confirming what many traditional practitioners have known for their entire lives. This is, of course, due to the fact that there is simply no money for major corporations in researching the healing powers of natural herbs and compounds such as the compound found in the thunder god vine. Turmeric and ginger, for example, have been found to be amazing anti-cancer substances that are virtually free compared to expensive and dangerous cancer drugs.
Nevertheless, the Big Pharma sponsored corporate scientists have managed to ignore these spices as much as possible. I’m a graduate student of Eastern medicine that covers extensive studies in Chinese herbs and formulas. The primary book recognized as the foremost authority on Chinese herbs in China translated in English is “Chinese Herbal Medicine, Meteria Medica,” Third Edition, compiled and translated from Chinese to English by Dan Bensky, Steven Clavey, Erich Stoger and Andrew Gamble. The herb “lei gong teng” is listed in Chapter 19 Obsolete Substances under the category of Section 1: Substances with Unacceptable Toxicity. On page 1051 to 1053, lei gong teng is stated to be toxic: “This herb is highly toxic and its use has resulted in numerous deaths.” It is contraindicated for the following: “Contraindicated in those with cardiac, hepatic, renal, or gastrointestinal problems; anyone with arrhythmias or anemia; during pregnancy or lactation; and for the debilitated.” Under the Key Characteristics, lei gong teng is used for: “cools heat, resolves toxicity, soothes the sinews, invigorates the blood, unblocks clumping, reduces swelling and pain, kills parasites, alleviates itching; YET TOXIC WITH MANY SIDE EFFECTS.”
A word of caution: please consult with a professional, licensed and educated Chinese herbalist before attempting to self-administer with lei gong teng (aka Thunder God Vine). Just because this herb and others have received some positive media coverage claiming to cure chronic and/or fatal diseases, do not always take it for granted that they are safe to use without proper administration. I am pleased that a natural herb such as lei gong teng is undergoing research to help cure diseases of cancer, however, it is important to know all the other side effects that any particular herb may have, and in this instance, “the cure could be more toxic and deadly than the disease itself.” This word of caution is not coming from the FDA or any other governmental agency or pharmaceutical corporate interest. I am in the 10th day of preparing Thunder God Root for my wife who has squamous cell carcinoma which has spread throughout her lymph system. She has surpassed the two years given her last month and is doing extremely well on a supplement program along with the Thunder God Root. I don't think that it is any secret that the pharmaceutical companies have no interest in curing patients, they only want to treat patients. Putting people on maintenance drugs only serves to deliver long term profit , curing patients would put them out of business. The FDA is complicit in this "pills for profit" scheme. There are drugs in the FDA awaiting and undergoing approval that have been there for decades, with little hope of approval. Most research doctors will admit to this but they really don't want to believe that there is an active conspiracy to intentionally hold drugs back. This is precisely why most drugs are developed and made in the USA.

When using Chinese herbs, it is best to have them prescribed by a Chinese medicine practitioner such as an acupuncturist/ herbalist. This article does not explain that Chinese medicine works by pattern identification and treatment with a formula, not just one herb. The patients may have been treated with an herbal formula containing thunder god vine but it would differ from patient to patient.
This is true with any herbal system. For example, I was plagued by severe migraine headaches. I tried Feverfew and found it to be partially effective. Feverfew by itself did not get rid of the migraines but made them bearable. So I did more research into other herbs to try in addition to the Ferverfew. I discovered Skullcap was an anti-inflammatory herb and used it with the Feverfew. These two herbs mixed together in equal parts proved to be quite effective at getting rid of the migraines as long as I took the two herbs. Eventually I found out why I was getting them in the first place. I was deficient in magnesium, zinc and the B vitamin complex. Now I no longer need either herb to keep migraines away.
It is hard to trust anything that comes our from the Free Masons. Maybe they are planning on only using it for themselves.

I agree. Before using any herb, research should be performed on it's safety before taking it. Not all herbs are safe. Some are safe but only for a short term for instance. There are other issues to be considered as well. People get yourself some herbal text books. The used book stores are loaded with them for a low price.
Johanna Budwig from Germany had a cure for cancer through diet and had something like a 95% cure rate. Anyone can follow her protocol, just do a search for Johanna Budwig, or Budwig diet. Yahoogroups had a very active group that discusses her diet/protocol and you can read many testimonials from members who've tried it. Also look up Essiac, which is an herbal treatment created by a nurse in Canada. This is readily available, but you have to be careful to get the right one as there are copycats which are apparently less effective. Also Pau d'Arco and red clover tea are helpful. But diet is the biggest thing. As noted previously, vegetarian diets are most helpful, making effort to eat more alkaline-forming foods. Read Fell's Optimal Guide to Health and Wellness. It's an excellent book that lays out in very simple language how your body functions and how a proper (alkaline) diet can lead to better health.
it's awesome discovery. i second the dissatisfaction with big pharma and ignoring what actually works. somehow the business of curing people is more important then actually curing people. This plant grows wild in the woods, shade or sun light, sends out runners under the ground, in the fall the flower that you see becomes a pod. Looks like a giant wild violet, very hard to get rid of it, has strong roots. Wonder what part of this plant is used…….

Peptobismol is based on ginger. And I believe Viagara was synthesized based on a south American herb (correct me if I'm wrong).

I worry that desperately sick people will misuse this herb so I spoke with an integrative oncologist, Dwight Mckee MD (Google) and he said that this plant has serious potential and also serious toxicity–it needs to be carefully studied. There are hundreds of deaths reported every year in China due to this plant–only the root can be used, and it must be carefully skinned of all bark–all other parts of the plant are extremely poisonous, from which the common name derives–you eat the plant, and the thunder god strikes you dead… There is some evidence that the toxicity of the compounds (which are very potent anti-inflammatories, and also immune suppressants) may be antidoted by thiols, such as NAC, lipoic acid, etc.

Triptolemus, and it's reported healing powers, sounds like a wonderful mystery in the healing properties of the plant world on earth. What can I do if I am allergic (severely) to raw fruits and vegetables? I can only have them (except pineapple) if they are cooked which changes the protein that I react to. Can I blend these fruits/vegetables after they are cooked or does that ruin the efficacy of them altogether in terms of health benefits?

You would need to take quite large quantities of fruit and and veggies to extract sufficient quantities of beneficial enzymes and nutrients to have any therapeutic effect on your body. Slow masticating juicers of less than 90 RPM, will extract the maximum amount of enzymes and nutrients by breaking the cellular fibre wall of the fruit and vegetable making it more digestible and assimiable to the body.

BETH, I may have some good news for you… I too went for many years believing that I was allergic to fresh fruits an veg. I used to get hives around my mouth, felt like my throat was itching inside and on one ocassion felt like my throat was closing. Acidic produce had the worst reaction. I always kept liquid bendryl on the house on case of accidental ingestion. A friend told me she didnt believe I was truely allergic to the plants, or fruitsveg. Check your PH levels too. I'm not sure I'd do chemo myself these days, it seems to do more harm than good. You also should change your diet eat only organic. The chemicals in our food is terrible. Also never take any vaccines, none of them have been studied for carcinogenic or mutagenic effects according to the package ingredient labels.

Why do you think NO studies are done on "Natural Cures" There has to be a reason. THe "PAT" answer you get from your doctor is " Well, it hasen't been proven to help".

It's not about the scientists; I used to do cancer research at MD Anderson in Texas. Every researcher I ever met was sincere…but they do not decide what you do or do not get to hear about. Articles to journals routinely get rejected and certain studies generally do not get funding to begin with…
Money in a word. The drug companies make billions, 100's of billions, on cancer treatment, medicines, chemo, etc. Greed – pure and simple – is why you'll never hear about very inexpensive herbal treatments from the drug companies.

I also make it clear that I can change my mind about anything if I find new facts that support that move. First things first, first, I'm not a doctor, and I have no medical degrees what's so ever. Everything I know is from reading online, with that said the initial thing you should do is get your PH levels checked, I would suspect you have an acidic base PH you need to bring it up to an alkaline (cancer can't live in an oxygen enriched environment) the best way to do this is to buy a juicer and a blender. The blender is for everything you can't juice strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc. the next thing to add to your diet is foods with B17, or laetrile, http://www.livestrong.com/article/85705-foods-ric… apricot seed is the richest source of Vitamin B17. The kernel of the apricot can be cracked open to get to the seed. 7 a day should be enough. And the last thing, just stays away from processed sugar.

Beside using Baking Soda, I would suggest to get a alkaline ionise water machine, it produces alkaline pH range 9-11pH with anti-oxidant ORP level of more than 450 level.

I have known for a long time that the pharmaceutical companies are conspiring AGAINST the public to get their hands on a cure for cancer so that they can keep on making BILLIONS with their revolting "cancer" medicine !! I own the seed for the soursop……easy to grow and easy to eat. I cannot find this thunder god vine’ or lei gong teng seed anywhere…….I also heard it is a complicated food to eat. if you eat the wrong part, it could kill you.

Hi Charlotte, I have been in remission from cancer of the spleen for over 2 years now. After researching cancer, I found that food combining helps to make your body more alkaline and that to only drink water with a little bit of lemon juice and adding a pinch of bicarb soda to it also (leading up to 1/4 teaspoon) Lemon juice, although acidic, once digested turns to alkaline your system. Cancer can only survive in an acidic body. My cancer was supposed to come back in 6 months but I am still proving the doctors wrong. Good Luck.
