I totally agree with this report. I, back in the day, ran cross-country in high school and have always been an athletic runner, I’m 53 years old, and my last physical 2 months ago…my BP was 112/70. Will I live to a ripe old age? My family history gives me hope, but that would be genetic in nature, not environment/diet/life style.
How can any one factor have an effect upon someone’s life expectancy when there are so many factors involved?
Ok, so you run everyday, but both your parents died young from heart disease…will running itself extend your life? Enter the factors of diet, amount of sleep, cell phone use, alcohol use, caffeine use, daily amount of stress, weather, where you live, how many miles you drive per year, in what type of vehicle, etc., etc., etc.
All it comes down to is, you’re gonna “go”, when you “go”.
3 extra years? What are the quality of those 3 extra years?
When you “kick the bucket”, “you kick the bucket”, that’s it.
That’s the time you were meant to go, and that’s it.
    Just saying.

  2. Odd though, that all the joggers I know, have, without exception needed either new hips or knees.
    Enjoy.
