An eye stye is a result of a bacterial infection around the eye area. This condition can manifest itself in what looks like a small boil or pimple on the eyelids. Since this is a bacterial infection, it can be itchy and painful, but thankfully numerous home remedies for styes do exist.
Just a Handful of Some Home Remedies for Styes
Many home remedies for styes are available, and have been recognized as effective by countless individuals in the alternative health community. Most commonly, people resort to the following remedies in particular as they are very effective and cheap — making them universally available:
Clean the area with warm water – Try using a Q-tip or a cotton pad after soaking it in warm water, then clean the eye area. Cleaning will help unclog the area where the stye is, accelerating the healing process.
Warm compress – Apply a warm compress on the area for a few minutes at least 4-5 times a day. This will help reduce the swelling and redness associated with styes.
Boiled coriander seeds – Boil coriander seeds into a tea-like liquid, which you will use to wash the affected area about 3-4 times a day.
Boiled guava, acacia or tea leaves – Boil them and make tea. Apply the liquid on a compress and press them on the affected area for a few minutes. This will help reduce the swelling. You can also directly put teabags (even if you just soak them in plain room temperature water) on the eye and let them sit there for a few minutes. The best ones to use are lemongrass and chamomile.
Potatoes – Potatoes can be used two different ways. You can slice them and use them as you would use cucumber slices, or you can make a paste and apply it on the affected areas.
To eliminate styes, the key is hygiene. With proper cleaning, the eye stye should go away after a few days. Many of these methods can also be beneficial for other eye conditions such as pink eye, though many other home remedies for pink eye exist independently as well.

I have successfully used Colloidal silver to wipe out styes quickly.
Just make your silver water and wash your eye two or three times in one day and the next it is usually gone. If you keep your hands out of it. HEHE!

I have used Aveeno Moisturizing Bar soap to successfully treat a very stubborn sty. I believe the colloidal oatmeal in this particular bar soap draws out the infection. It’s great for any skin infection or as a regular face soap.
