  1. From what I see, the diets are mixtures of stuff, not cooked. Since most all human foods made with field corn are cooked, these tests do not correlate with human consumption.. To compare with human consumption, they need to look at cooked foods and grow several generations to see any reproductive effects as claimed by a Russian experiment.

    1. I still wouldn’t eat it, if I were you.

  2. What frustrates me about this post is the lack of data. Those that are pro-GMO site that there are no legitimate studies to refute GMO. When a study is quoted as saying, “by day 91, many of the rats fed a GM diet were completely sterile,” you do not have quantifiable information. Many could be 3 or 5 or 500. But the fact that a ratio or percentage is not mentioned makes this article sound like it is hiding accurate information. That is not respected data, that is hype. Those concerned about GMO food MUST do legitimate research and present legitimate data findings to be respected as having a legitimate voice in the conversation. Trust me, those that are pro-GMO have their numbers at the ready.

  3. The publications on the science behind the investigation are available. Scientific Peer Reviewed Articles. This post is not about the data, it is about the problem of GM food in rats. You should maybe consider how rats are used as replacement organisms for research on humans because we are so closely compatible on molecular and cytological levels. Extrapolate from there.
