Scientist: Top Selling Weed Killer – Monsanto’s Roundup – Linked to Infertility

pesticidesMonsanto has made a pretty penny over the last several decades thanks to its top-selling herbicide, Roundup, and cash crops genetically modified to withstand heavy doses of the chemical, such as Roundup Ready corn, soy, and cotton. Meanwhile, Roundup’s key ingredient glyphosate has ravaged the earth, our food chain, and our bodies, and is even causing infertility among the masses. Its effects haven’t gone unnoticed.

Purdue University professor emeritus Dr. Don Huber addressed the dangers of glyphosate to American and European officials in 2011. His concerns centered on an electron microscopic pathogen which “appears to significantly impact the health of plants, animals, and probably human beings.” In a letter to US Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Huber added that preliminary experiments have reproduced the pathogen’s link to miscarriages.

Vilsack purportedly received Huber’s letter and, despite the available mountain of evidence just one click away, encouraged of Huber “submission of any data or studies in support of his concerns.” Apparently, none of the scientific, published evidence of glyphosate-induced infertility, sterility, birth defects, Parkinson’s, obesity, superweeds, and water pollution were convincing enough to keep the USDA from snuggling down next to Monsanto on a bed of dirty money just 11 days later. Despite Huber’s explicit pleas to delay deregulation of Roundup Ready crops—which would be, in his words, “a calamity”—the USDA went through with deregulation.

This was neither the first nor would it be the last hand members of the government would join with dirty industries to the detriment of their own citizenry. Reuters reports on the myriad concerns raised by numerous members of the scientific and medical community, yet it is only in 2015 that the Environmental Protection Agency promises results for their research into the possible dangers of glyphosate and what, if any, role government should play in it.

Seeing as the government has been front and center in support of Monsanto’s environmentally disastrous antics, we hope to see matched enthusiasm in remedial measures for the environment and its people.

I didn't know monsato's roundup could cause infertility?? Crazy. I have used several herbicides in my day and I have 4 kids so I'm not sure you could say that the one's I have used can cause infertility! One of my favorite weed killers (for that annoying nutsedge) is Sedgehammer. That stuff is amazing, and doesn't cause infertility… 🙂

If educated opinions and concerns are not addressed by the Dept of Agriculture, then the materials and research should be presented to the Dept of Health both on a federal and state level, using local stae representatives to file lawsuits against monsanto. With enough legal actions filed both locally and nationally PERHAPS the news media will give it some play,if not then the pressure(cost) of the impending legal actions might cause the Dept of Justice to look into the many cases and try to consolidate the actions. If these actions are summarily dismissed across the country then you will see that it is not monsanto alone reeking this havoc on the public's health and welfare.

Hi Phill, yes you are right, media can help. I really fight hard with our MP for Health, Aus. Food Standard, but not much help. Masses are not interested in any actions, here in Aus. people sleep like bears in their caves. Tonight we had on TV how US produce and process their food. But we here don't know how Aus food industry process our food.

All studies show so many different deformations from GMO, but who cares, government? NO. Money talk is important. Besides, NWO want to eliminate 90% of earth population, and the best way is through food. Did somebody read a book – Seed of destruction – W. Engdahl, you will find all answers, why GMO, why contaminated water, air spraying, toxic drugs etc. Monsanto personnel eat in their canteen only organic food, why?, they say, it's our free choice???? People instead haven't free choice because all food contain GMO, Rockefeller, Rothschild and Bush made and still make money from GMO. Our MP for health send me answer to my e-mail about our food: 'Safe: beyond reasonable doubt"??????? What a joke.

Genetic Engineering is a tool that can be used for good or evil. There are good GM products. It is just that Monsanto genetically modifies foods to be RoundUp Ready [metal nutrient deficient] and to contain a gene from bacillus thuringiensis [Bt] that makes the Bt-toxin that may put holes in your stomach and gut. http://Opinion.FarTooMuch.Info/GMHC.htm

Show me one good GM food product. How can something that is not found anywhere in nature be good? The bodies response to all GM foods is an inflammatory response because it is not recognized as a food by the body but as a foreign alien invader.

I do not know of any good GM FOOD product either. But I do know gene splicers who have converted bacteria into making useful products. For example a bacteria that eats up oil spills converting oil into CO2 and H2O. There are GM bacteria that make pharmaceuticals. The output of the bacteria is refined so only the desired product is used. I think when Romney suggested Monsanto go into genetic engineering, he believed they would make healthy products to feed the World. Unfortunately, that did not happen. But you are correct in that the appropriate use of GM, for example, are bacteria that make human insulin that is chemically identical to what our bodies make.

Lol. Someone drinks way too much fluoride. So the chemical dispersants they dumped in the gulf were good? Pharmaceuticals are good? Maybe you didnt realize even the UN said organic farming is the key to feeding the world. Yes, only treating a disease when its easily curable is so very good for people in general. Just take an advil, dont worry about removing the boot from your ass.

Oh, so your calling herbicide now, why do you always call it pesticide until you have no choice but to call it by the correct name??
