I THANK YOU so much for putting the things in track. AND WHAT YOU say is the truth… not all the silly comments written by some others. I too have diabetes, AND I AM SURE all my health issues are due to problems with my teeth – amalgams with mercury- and root canals. I think that the problem 'ANONYMOUS' had was rotten teeth on their base. I had the same problem with one tooth. it broke right in its base it was like 'dust' I blame my dentist (who wanted to do a crown on that tooth and I declined. He kept pocking on it until probably got rotten. Well I had implant done, and the dentist got P^&%$ at me… no crown. of course,the implant was was very expensive.

YOU have you root canals removed?? HOW DO THEY DO THAT? IF THEY REMOVED THE ROOT FROM YOUR TEETH, HOW CAN THEY REMOVED THE ROOTCANAL DONE?? I don't understand. I am asking because I am trying to remove my mercury from my fillings (amalgams) and now (I didn't know they could be removed) the root canals, i have several teeth and they are affecting my health and memory. The problem is that the mercury only has to be remove by people who know how to remove them, or can poison you if they don't know what they are doing.

What dental patients have to understand is there are risk in any type of surgery you have. However, with today's advanced medicine and technology, the risk are much less of anything serious happening. The bottom line is the rewards are much greater than the risk.

I have a root canal and the gums around it have been bleeding for years. My health has been declining slowly and gradually for the last few years even though I am only 32 and I take extremely good care of myself.

The dentist took an x-ray and says there is a major infection. I am getting it taken out finally and expect to see an improvement in my health.

After I get this done I will try to find this page and comment again with an update.

I just had a extraction of old root canal and bone graft (the infection had eaten away my jaw bone) two weeks ago. Im a type 1 diabetic and within 1 week my insulin requirements had droped by 50% and still going down. I was feeling weak and brain fogged, now I am feeling better than I was 5 years ago prior to being diagnosed with Type 1.
In my opinion, from my experience, infected root canals can potentialy have a devasting impact to health, especialy if you have immue issue.
