Often people are taught through various media outlets that life is to be lived with a ‘dog eat dog world’ philosophy. Struggling to survive in current times has given rise to a more apathetic and sometimes ruthless humanity. Of course these testing times are majority-wise not a result of the common man, but those at the top of the proverbial pyramid; the common man is the one that is most affected.

The Startling Disconnect of Humanity: How Corruption and Injustice Roam Free

Some individuals are satisfied with a ‘just getting by’ attitude — a severe lack of personal contribution based on their desire to make sure that they themselves are fully content. This is the individual who sits idle as atrocities are committed across the globe, saying “it can’t happen to me.” Many people may not be inherently bad, and they may not go out of their way to cause others loss or pain, but while not going out of their way to contribute something meaningful either. This ‘idle’ mindset allows for widespread corruption as there is not a large body of individuals ready to resist it.

“First they came…” is a famous saying that was attributed to pastor Martin Niemöller regarding the lack of action taken against the Nazis during the World War 2 era. The statement accurately sums up how a lack of action can result in mass corruption, pain, and even death.

The saying goes like this:

First they came for the communists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

This in turn also means that people hardly ever lookout for their fellow man (or woman). As a result, people often find themselves without help when their own times of trouble come.

It’s important to recognize that life is something we all uniquely experience together. Without social classes or ideologies to guide us, we would find that most of the things we place value on in society are actually not important. Appearances, money, material things – energy wasted on empty pursuit in the form of expensive hobbies, entertainment, and especially meaningless endeavors governed by money.

Don’t be afraid to use your influence to make a difference in the lives of others. It means a lot more to help a person — or an entire population — with their life than it does to satisfy a more carnal desire. These kinds of decisions are often overlooked in the hustle of daily life, though they are some of the most important we can ever make. In a world where love is increasingly being taken out from interaction, life can become impersonal and cold. This won’t be the case, however if you have a wish for preservation.

It’s no crutch or weakness to rely on other people, but many people are unreliable because of their desire to help only themselves. Where does the solution start? With you. Your actions can prove to be a positive influence on others to the point where they will begin to do the same. It all starts with an injection of positive energy.
A number of anti-human scientists are now hailing the concept as a method of execution that ‘highlights the issues that come with life extension’.

The coaster design begins with a steep-angled lift to the 1,670 foot top, which would take 2 minutes for the 24 passengers to reach. Afterwards, there would be a 1,600 foot drop that would bring the coaster up to 220 mph. Flattening out, the coaster would then begin the process of cerebral hypoxia, or lack of oxygen to the brain. The ride’s seven total inversions would last for 60 seconds, starting with tunnel vision, black out, and loss of consciousness. After first or second inversion, the coaster would cause cerebral anoxia, leaving the passengers brain dead.

After the execution ride, the passenger train enters a straight in which the unloading of the brain dead bodies would take place.

Execution Coaster ‘Flagship Exhibition” In Dublin Science Gallery

Transhumanism science organization “HUMAN+” displayed the concept of the Euthanasia Coaster at the Science Gallery in Dublin from April through June 2011. Presented as the flagship exhibition, HUMAN+ said that the ride “highlights the issue inherent in life-extension.” Praising the ride, the stated application of which on the designer’s official site is euthanasia and execution, the director of the Science Gallery Michael John Gorman said it allowed people to leave live in a ‘euphoric state’.

In an article published on the Guardian website, Gorman stated:

“Some of the works exhibited in HUMAN+ highlight the issues inherent in life-extension. Euthanasia Coaster by Julijonas Urbonas is designed to deal with the ultimate boredom of longevity by allowing people to leave life in a euphoric state through an amusement park ride designed to kill.”

HUMAN+ is a major advocate of the transhumanistic agenda, though founder Gorman frequently romanticizes death. Coaster designer Julijonas Urbonas also appears to have a deep relationship with death and mental illness. On his website, another listed ‘project’ is a tool that allows bulimics to more easily induce vomiting. Along with a photo of an obese woman using the tool, Urbonas says the bulimia tool is “designed for the elegant ritual of the eviction of the contents of the stomach.”

Urbonas goes on to describe the project in further detail:

“For those enlightened, still believing in the possibility of dissolving the body into the weightless photons, the ritual of vomiting, both symbolically and physiologically, might help to achieve this dream. Some are already practicing it, people like anorexics and bulimics, celebrating the abandonment of the body. “

You can watch Urbonas’ description of the Euthanasia Coaster in the video below:

A new tick-borne infectious disease known as Ehrlichiosis is infecting people across the United States, with doctors at the Mayo Clinic, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the University of Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin, and state and local health departments stating that this disease can cause feverish symptoms upon contraction.

Ivanhoe Newswire reports:

Ehrlichia infect and kill white blood cells and can cause fever, body aches, headache, and fatigue. If the disease goes untreated and becomes severe in multiple organs such as the lungs, kidneys, and brain, patients may require hospitalization but rarely the disease results in death. Bobbi Pritt, M.D., a Mayo Clinic microbiologist and director of the Clinical Parasitology and Virology Laboratories was quoted saying, “Before this report, human ehrliochosis was thought to be very rare or absent in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Therefore, physicians might not know to look for Ehrlichia infections at all.” Risk factors for ehrlichiosis include: living near an area with a lot of ticks, owning a pet that may bring ticks into the home, and walking in tall grasses.

Thousands of blood samples from across the United States have been screened by the Mayo Clinic and the bacterium has only been detected in specimens collected from Wisconsin and Minnesota. Although thousands of ticks have been analyzed from across the country, only those from the two states have been identified as being carriers. Doctors caution people to apply insect repellant and wear pants and long-sleeved shirts when active outdoors to avoid tick bites.

NaturalSociety
July 23, 2011

It may sound bizarre to those who are not familiar with the ongoing genetic manipulation of the planet by large biotech corporations, but the creation of human-animal hybrid chimeras has prompted a group of leading British researchers to call for a set of new rules that prevent scientists from developing “monsters” as the report states. As researchers around the world continue to push boundaries regardless of environmental or ethical consequence, genetic experiments are becoming increasingly more outlandish. Chinese scientists have already admittedly inserted human stem cells into goat fetuses, and U.S. researchers have studied the idea of creating a mouse with human brain cells.

The destruction of nature’s precious genetic coding

Scientists have borrowed genes from a jellyfish to make other organisms glow, and have even implanted spider genes in goats as a means of creating super-strength silk. Scientists even took it a step further by creating genetically modified salmon that they intended to release into the wild before Congress blocked the FDA from approving the move over concerns of health endangerment. The list doesn’t end there. Genetically modified potatoes are among the latest food abominations created by biotech corporations such as Monsanto. These potatoes, once planted in farms worldwide, can easily spread to nearby crops and taint the very genetic integrity of the plant.

Tainting the food supply

Billions are spent each year to genetically modify the food supply, tainting it with genetically modified frankenfood. Genetically modifying foods requires one to tamper with the very genetic coding of the crop and/or seed.

The process entails the transfer of genes from one organism to another, such as taking particular genes from a pig and transferring them to a tomato. Not only does this defile nature, but it leads to a host of health problems.

Due to the complexity of a living organism’s genetic structure, it is impossible to track the long-term results of consuming genetically modified food. Introducing new genes into even the most simple bacterium may cause an array of issues, highlighting the complexity of even the simplest organisms. Introducing new genes to highly complex organisms such as animals or crops is even riskier.

When introducing the gene to its new host, it is essentially impossible to predict the reaction. The genetic intelligence of the host could be disrupted with the introduction of the new gene, creating an adverse reaction. There is truly no way of knowing the long-term effect genetically modified food, as there are too many variables. There is simply no room for science when Monsanto is involved.

The milk produced by the transgenic cows is identical to the human variety, with the same immune-boosting and antibacterial qualities as breast milk, scientists at China’s Agricultural University in Beijing said.

The transgenic herd of 300 was bred by inserting human genes into cloned cow embryos which were then implanted into surrogate cows. The technology used was similar to that used to produce Dolly the sheep, the first mammal to be cloned by scientists, in Scotland.

The milk is still undergoing safety tests, but with government permission it will be sold to consumers as a more nutritious dairy drink than cow’s milk.

Workers at the university’s dairy farm have already tasted the milk — and said it is sweeter and stronger than the bovine variety, according to Sky News .

“It’s good,” said worker Jiang Yao. “It’s better for you because it’s genetically modified.”

The scientists have also produced animals that are resistant to mad cow disease, as well as beef cattle that are genetically modified to produce more nutritious meat.

The director of the research project, Professor Li Ning, said Western concerns about the ethics of genetic modification are misplaced.

“There are 1.5 billion people in the world who don’t get enough to eat,” he said. “It’s our duty to develop science and technology, not to hold it back. We need to feed people first, before we consider ideals and convictions.”

Jørgen Schlundt and colleagues at the National Food Institute in Denmark argue that the routine use of antimicrobials can be reduced substantially, while maintaining profitable animal production, and call for their use to be monitored in all countries.

Antimicrobials are essential for treating bacterial infections in humans and animals. Substantial amounts are used in modern animal production, but their use can result in bacteria that are resistant to treatment.

Resistant bacteria can spread from animals to humans, mainly through the food chain.

Three of four recently emerging infections in humans originate from animals: avian influenza H5N1, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and Salmonella.

Several global organisations have proposed a range of different actions to contain antimicrobial resistance from animals, including restricting use in animals of the most critically important antimicrobials for humans. The European Union has also begun monitoring resistance in food animals and is implementing mandatory monitoring of antimicrobial usage in all member states.

Such monitoring already occurs in Denmark, along with progressively tighter rules on the use of antimicrobials in the raising of livestock since 1995.

Yet tighter rules do not lead to lower productivity. In Denmark, use of antimicrobial agents per kilogram of pork produced is estimated to be less than a fifth of that in the United States, yet Denmark continues to be the world’s largest exporter of pork and productivity is now higher than ever before.

Data from Norway also show that improving fish farm management and introducing effective vaccines can reduce the use of antimicrobials more than 20 fold.

“We have major tasks ahead for global containment of resistance, in relation to both veterinary and human medicine,” write the authors. “Antimicrobials are too precious to be wasted, and both sectors have plenty of room for improvement.”

They conclude: “Substantial reduction of antimicrobial use in livestock is feasible and necessary if we want to preserve the power of antimicrobials for future generations of both animals and humans.”

Research shows that a walk in the park is more than just a nice way to spend an afternoon. It’s an essential component for good health, according to University of Illinois environment and behavior researcher Frances “Ming” Kuo.

“Through the decades, parks advocates, landscape architects, and popular writers have consistently claimed that nature had healing powers,” Kuo said. “But until recently, their claims haven’t undergone rigorous scientific assessment.”

Kuo is also the director of the Landscape and Human Health Laboratory at the U of I and has studied the effect of green space on humans in a number of settings in order to prove or disprove the folklore notions.

“Researchers have studied the effects of nature in many different populations, using many forms of nature,” Kuo said. “They’ve looked at Chicago public housing residents living in high-rises with a tree or two and some grass outside their apartment buildings; college students exposed to slide shows of natural scenes while sitting in a classroom; children with attention deficit disorder playing in a wide range of settings; senior citizens in Tokyo with varying degrees of access to green walkable streets; and middle-class volunteers spending their Saturdays restoring prairie ecosystems, just to name a few.”

Kuo says that although the diversity of the research on this subject is impressive and important, even more important is the rigor with which the work was conducted.

“In any field with enthusiasts, you will find a plethora of well-meaning but flimsy studies purporting to ‘prove’ the benefits of X,” Kuo said. “But in the last decade or so, rigorous work on this question has become more of a rule than an exception. The studies aren’t simply relying on what research participants report to be the benefits of nature. The benefits have been measured objectively using data such as police crime reports, blood pressure, performance on standardized neurocognitive tests, and physiological measures of immune system functioning.”

Kuo said that rather than relying on small, self-selected samples of nature lovers such as park-goers, scientists are increasingly relying on study populations that have no particular relationship to nature. One study examined children who were receiving care from a clinic network targeting low-income populations. Another looked at all United Kingdom residents younger than retirement age listed in national mortality records for the years 2001-2005.

“Scientists are routinely taking into account income and other differences in their studies. So the question is no longer, do people living in greener neighborhoods have better health outcomes? (They do.) Rather, the question has become, do people living in greener neighborhoods have better health outcomes when we take income and other advantages associated with greener neighborhoods into account?” That answer is also, yes, according to Kuo.

After undergoing rigorous scientific scrutiny, Kuo says the benefits of nature still stand.

“We still find these benefits when they are measured objectively, when non-nature lovers are included in our studies, when income and other factors that could explain a nature-health link are taken into account. And the strength, consistency and convergence of the findings are remarkable,” she said.

Kuo drew an analogy to animals. “Just as rats and other laboratory animals housed in unfit environments undergo systematic breakdowns in healthy, positive patterns of social functioning, so do people,” she said.

“In greener settings, we find that people are more generous and more sociable. We find stronger neighborhood social ties and greater sense of community, more mutual trust and willingness to help others.

“In less green environments, we find higher rates of aggression, violence, violent crime, and property crime—even after controlling for income and other differences,” she said. “We also find more evidence of loneliness and more individuals reporting inadequate social support.”

The equation seems too simple to be true.

Access to nature and green environments yields better cognitive functioning, more self-discipline and impulse control, and greater mental health overall.

Less access to nature is linked to exacerbated attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder symptoms, higher rates of anxiety disorders, and higher rates of clinical depression.

If that isn’t convincing enough, Kuo says the impacts of parks and green environments on human health extend beyond social and psychological health outcomes to include physical health outcomes.

Greener environments enhance recovery from surgery, enable and support higher levels of physical activity, improve immune system functioning, help diabetics achieve healthier blood glucose levels, and improve functional health status and independent living skills among older adults.

By contrast, environments with less green space are associated with greater rates of childhood obesity; higher rates of 15 out of 24 categories of physician-diagnosed diseases, including cardiovascular diseases; and higher rates of mortality in younger and older adults.

“While it is true that richer people tend to have both greater access to nature and better physical health outcomes, the comparisons here show that even among people of the same socioeconomic status, those who have greater access to nature, have better physical health outcomes. Rarely do the scientific findings on any question align so clearly.”

Because of this strong correlation between nature and health, Kuo encourages city planners to design communities with more public green spaces in mind, not as mere amenities to beautify a neighborhood, but as a vital component that will promote healthier, kinder, smarter, more effective, more resilient people.
