Taking a multivitamin every day is a very important part of keeping up with your health, as it is rather difficult to intake an adequate amount of nutrients from food alone. That being said, the effectiveness of the multivitamin relies almost entirely upon its formula. Without the proper forms of each vitamin, encased in high quality capsules, then it will be utterly useless to you.

NSI Synergy 3000 stands out among the competition. The NSI Synergy multivitamin brand comes in either one-a-day, three-a-day, six-a-day, or twelve-a-day. One-a-day multivitamins simply do not absorb as well as higher dosage vitamins, but twelve-a-day multivitamins can be extremely challenging to take everyday. Therefore, the six-a-day (NSI Synergy 3000) seems to be the reasonable choice both in terms of health and practicality. The dosage isn’t all that’s important, though.

Quality: 8

As usual with NSI products, the choice of ingredients for NSI Synergy 3000 remains rather high quality. One ingredient that stands out is Vitamin D3 in the form of cholecalciferol. With so much buzz recently about the effectiveness of Vitamin D, it’s rather obvious that you should be getting enough of it in your multivitamin. While it contains 2,000 IU of Vitamin D, many top health experts are recommending around 5,000 IU per day. This isn’t a huge issue, but it does mean you will most likely have to purchase a separate Vitamin D supplement.

This multivitamin also contains the natural form of Vitamin E, as d-alpha tocopheryl succinate and high gamma mixed tocopherols. It is very important that the vitamin you are taking contains natural Vitamin E, as many synthetic forms can be harmful. This is true of most synthetic vitamins, except the synthetic forms of Vitamin E have been found to be especially toxic.

Besides Vitamin D and E, the vitamin has a sufficient supply of most other nutrients in the correct forms. What this vitamin lacks nutrient-wise is calcium and magnesium. It contains only 300mg of calcium and 200mg of magnesium, but this can be compensated with the correct diet. Plus, to make up for it the vitamin also contains a fruit/vegetable blend including pomegranate extract, broccoli sprout extract, and grape seed extract.

See the full ingredient list here.

Claims/Effectiveness: 8.5

When taking a look at what NSI promises for each and every one of its products, it is pretty easy to see that it does not make any ridiculous claims. This is a good thing, considering that many companies who promise outlandish results tend to never deliver. NSI promises the following when it comes to their vitamins:

“Contain beneficial amounts of the finest, most highly targeted nutrients available and are guaranteed to be of the highest quality.”

This statement is, for the most part, true. The ingredients are indeed high quality, and most are in quite substantial amounts. The only thing that does not align with this promise is the low amounts of Vitamin D, calcium, and magnesium as mentioned earlier in the Quality portion. This is really only a minor issue considering what else this multivitamin delivers.

“Are formulated by board-certified physicians using the latest research.”

While there is no way that I can personally prove or disprove this, the NSI scientific advisory board has a list of all the medial professionals who in charge of the research surrounding NSI products. The professionals seem to all be rather accomplished in their field, and the quality of NSI products shows they know what they’re doing. This claim seems truthful.

The effectiveness of NSI Synergy 3000 is rather evident after a week of taking it. Many, myself included, experience an increase in energy and concentration. The B vitamins in NSI Synergy 3000 allow for time-released energy, as opposed to the instant shock of temporary energy that you may experience with an energy drink.

In addition to the increase in energy, NSI Synergy 3000 aids in fighting colds, flus, and just about every disease. The ingredients make for a great immune system booster, and the high amounts of Vitamin C help to relieve the symptoms if you are to get sick.

Value: 7.5

NSI Synergy 3000 costs $29.99. While this may seem like a lot for someone who is used to purchasing Centrum or another low-quality vitamin, it really isn’t much when it comes down to what it is you’re buying. Thirty dollars isn’t much to spend when it comes down to changing your health for the better. The price may be steep for some, but it is a worthy investment given the effectiveness and quality of the vitamin.

Comparison: 9

When compared to multivitamins like Centrum, NSI Synergy 3000 is a trillion times more effective. I have personally heard stories from medical professionals who have found undigested Centrum pills in patients 3 days after they have taken them. Centrum is the bottom of the food chain when it comes to multivitamins.

On the other side of the spectrum, multivitamins like the ones from Life Extension are made from extremely high quality ingredients, but range from $70 to $80. This is simply not affordable for most people, making NSI Synergy 3000 stand out against the competition due its high quality ingredients yet affordability.

Overall Score: 8.25
