  1. The methanol connection with aspertane is compelling however the link to autism is weak. It would be interesting to do further work on this but who would ever find funding sources? At least this starts a process of logic which hopefully takes the focus from immunization. This alone will save many innocent children from potential harm.

  2. blank John E. Garst, Ph.D. says:

Concerning autism, see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19056591. The author's conclude "The significant improvements observed in transmethylation metabolites and glutathione redox status after treatment suggest that targeted nutritional intervention with methylcobalamin and folinic acid may be of clinical benefit in some children who have autism."

  3. blank John Fryer says:

John Garston links an article on treatment for autism which has no connection with or talks about aspartame.

But we all know methanol and its metabolites are improved by these treatments.

Does he claim therefore that aspartame is causing adverse health issues then and contributing to exacerbating others?

It is illogical that chemical treatments that alleviate methanol harm or that of its metabolites and virtually nothing else does not therefore implicate methanol or foods that degrade to it as harmful to humans.

Aspartame does degrade to methanol et al in all the tissues of our body unless it degrades before we consume it due to age or high temperature when formulated in liquid foods and drinks in which case it forms another substance with another tranch of adverse health effects.
