  1. blank Patti Jo Roth-Edwards says:

The problem is that they are permitted to lie. There is not “truth in advertising”. There is no perjury in civil court – at least it is rare even though lying is common. If there were laws back in place that made lying to the people over media what it is – fraud – it would not matter how much money they spent. Monsanto and their partners would have to show well-founded proof that what they are saying is fact.

  2. The measure didn’t require organic to label their foods so OF COURSE organic farmers wanted it. Just because you are organic does not mean you are GMO free!!! This measure did not help me to make better food choices. If something is GMO-free, label it like gluten-free products. It is that simple. If you don’t want to eat GMO food, you can. Don’t take agency from other people. Poorly written measure. Glad it brought some attention to the issue though.
